A place of real character and fabulous views

A basic but comfortable lodge with great views across Plav to the lake and mountains. The host is very welcoming and was very patient after my phone failed and they collected me from Plav. Meals are made from their own farm and are delicious ! I can highly recommend the blueberry juice.

At the moment there is a lot of building work going on around the lodges and I am sure that this will be fabulous when complete.

Very nice food, good view over the valley. Location was great, watch out to not drive to the wrong adress (asphalt road to the property)

Nice room with good view if you don't mind being away from town center

The balcony had partial view of Plav Lake. That was really nice. Dinner was delicious. I had a long hike so I was hungry. The host lady saw me inhaled her chicken soup in a few seconds. She immediately offered to give me a refill.

It is a bit away from the center of town but I knew that when I booked it. There were a few guests that were loud after midnight.

A beautiful view over the lake of Plav and the surrounding mountains

The family that runs this hostel is very hospitable. Because of the unusually poor weather conditions, I was the only guest. I unexpectedly showed up late in the evening for the first night, and they still drove me up to the hostel which is a bit outside of Plav.

The family's cows are right beneath the hostel rooms and restaurant, and you can smell it. Might be something to consider changing for the future.

Very nice host woman, made us delicious breakfast.

We were supposed to stay at Eco Village but it appeared that it was closed because of the end of the season, but we did not get this information earlier. We lived in a hosts' house. The son of the hosts wanted to give us a room without a balcony, but we had booked a room with a balcony so his mother quickly prepared a bigger room with a balcony for us (we had a feeling that we lived in someone's room though). The room was big but cold.

You become part of the family

Perfect communication with owners. We received WhatsApp message immediately after we booked accommodation. They helped us to plan the route from the place where we were night before. They recommended to leave the car in the village downhill where they picked us up with 4x4. The house is in remote place with breathtaking views over the Plav lake and mountains. Food is lovely, home made cheese, yogurt, ajvar, bread and pickled peppers are to die for. We booked for one night only but finally extended to three nights.

Very nice family

It said it was 500 meter from plav center, but it was up on a hill more like 3 km from the center, so it was really annoying after a full day hike to walk 7 more km just to get some supplies for the trek, and they wouldn't take us with the car there

The location was extremely peaceful and relaxing. You could start walking from out of the house (for me the location far off the 'center' was very nice) and had beautiful views.

After reading the other reviews I was especially looking forward for the meals. And I guess they were traditional (for winter lacked some fresh vegetables), but it was always the same, which I found disappointing (and quite expensive). I was not housed in the Eco village which was under reconstruction but their home which was nice as well.

Alles in allem super. Das Zimmer ist groß, die Aussicht super. Die Gastgeberinnen können nur gebrochen Englisch, wodurch es sehr schwierig war zu kommunizieren. Das Essen wird im Wohnzimmer der Familie serviert. Es werden Bauarbeiten rund um das Grundstück gemacht. Daher teilweise laut und Sachen der Bauarbeiter standen auf unserem Balkon.
