Bad bargain, rip off, will never go there again.

After a long day drive, we were glad to reach the place. At first everything seemed nice and according to reviews, they told us by mail that we could do our laundry without any issues, quick replies, seemed super friendly and welcoming in person, they showed us the rooms, it looked cleaned etc. They told us i apparently booked for one person and not 2 but said it was not a problem. They even offered us a welcoming liquor shot. Then the headache started.. they wanted to charge us double, said the laundry was 10€ per machine (we needed minimum 3 machines, we are travelling for a few months) and offered other services for a price. Now the warming welcome ends and the real face pops. « It is a business and we want to get the most money from you » feeling The language barrier didn’t help (they only speak serb) and honestly i just wanted to say no way, bye. I checked on booking and indeed i was right, the price was 24,24€ for 2 people for one night. I showed it and he got caught on the spot so of course he couldn’t charge us double. I told them i was not happy and feel like they were screwing us, they didn’t care. Since it was already late (no time to find another places), we drank the « welcoming shot » (= no driving), really needed to do our laundry and were already tired from our long travel we just paid. But honestly if we knew, we would had booked another better and bigger place for a few euro extra. In all our previous booking, when selecting washing machine it was included in the price and you can do it yourself whenever you want, you just need to buy your own product which makes sense. I hate the « we only like you for your money » mentality, it is not welcoming and you feel like a money cow.

It’s perfect

I loved this house, perfect for family. But the view is breathtaking, river Drina way just on the countryside. Hosts are awesome, provided us drinks and cola. And it’s really close to city.

We went fishing, so location was perfect. It is approximately 6 min drive to center, but we were almost all the time out.

This is a blissful place to stay - perfect for a family

This is a house managed by the warmest and most welcoming of people. If you value the welcome and kindness of people, then stay here. It’s functional and comfy but basic, but everything you need is available including great food. I’m not from the Balkans, and so I’m very impressed by how vey kind people are, our kids loved it too.

As I said, it’s a little basic, but everything you need is here and you can be sure that they’ll check to see if you need anything else. Make sure you get some good directions, especially if arriving at night. Plenty of space for a car - and views of the River Drina that you will never forget. We would definitely come back to stay with these lovely people.

Total Gem!

Too many to list. This location was far better then a 5 star fancy hotel. Must say the food was just amazing. Literally 99% of the food is home made from the garden and the meats are from their own livestock. The hosts are incredible people. I stayed 15 days and really got to know them. They treat you like their own. This is something you don't get at a fancy place. Very peaceful, comfortable and relaxing.

I would say nothing there that I didn't like. One little tiny thing is the internet signal was a little problem, inside the little house, the signal is quite weak.

Small house on the spectacular riverbank of Drina

Our hosts did not speak English at all, but did all that they could to make us understand their points and were really helpful and friendly. I recommend having breakfast there as it is delicious and more than enough for starting the day. (Do not miss the shots!) Closed, private parking space.

There is no fridge, but the night was cool enough to keep our stuff at the balcony, alternatively you can ask for the hosts to keep the stuff in their fridge (they live in the house next to the cottage).

Eine wunderschöne Woche bei super Gastgebern!

Das Essen war super und die Gastfreundschaft phänomenal. Auf dem Grundstück gab es überall ruhige Plätzchen und Naschobst. Die Lage am Fluss ist super und der Weg zum Sutjeska-Nationalpark nicht weit.

Es hätte noch etwas gründlicher gereinigt werden können.
