The hot water could be hotter

I had a great stay here! The owner was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away. Breakfast was included and available all morning, which was a nice touch compared to other places. The rooms were clean, the atmosphere was good, and overall it was a pleasant experience — I even decided to extend my stay a couple more nights.

There’s not much to complain about — overall everything was good. Toward the end of the day, the staff seemed a bit tired, which is understandable since they work hard keeping things clean and organized. Nothing major, just a small observation. The owner was great and the overall vibe was positive.

Close to restaurants and nightlife. Secure and spacious. Facilities are ok. Shared restroom are average. Shared showers need some hangers and shelves. River produces white noise, good for relaxation during night.

Exiting the building requires unlocking, it may be unsafe during an emergency. The room has no TV, no fan, and no table/desk. Showers need some shelves and hangers for clothes. No breakfast, no coffee. On arrival, there is no signal posted outside indicating the address nor the hostel name.

Super relaxed place. The yard is really nice and peaceful and the hammocks are a nice touch. While I was there the hot water stopped working for two or three days but they did try and get it fixed asap. The owner informed me of this in advance. The breakfast they offer is a smoothie bowl in a nice cafe right outside the hostel(I think it’s called Betty’s)

This is not the hostel’s fault but there were long term stays in my room. They insisted on keeping the dorm room door closed and the lights off even if you were in the room. This led to the room getting extremely hot and damp and it smelled really really bad. One night I turned the fan on and pointed it towards me so the smell would not be so bad and to not disturb anyone else but one of the long term stays woke up in the middle of the night and pulled the plug on the fan. I had to wake up in horrible smell and plug it back in. He did this 3 nights in a row. One of them also had alarms going off and snoozing them 6 times and both of them listened to their phones without headphones. Would have loved to stay longer here but all this made me leave earlier than planned. Secondly there’s rarely anyone at the reception and they have signs that reception will be open at such and such time. This was not a dealbreaker for me. There’s usually staff around to answer questions.
