Surf House

The property is located on the water in a quiet area - a few restaurants and places to get coffee nearby. It was perfect for our short stay. The owners are lovely - gave us a ride to the market as we arrived and showed us some places of interest along the way!

Mrs. Isidora's house is wonderful, absolutely nothing to complain about. The view from the terrace is gorgeous. The big boy was delighted to see the windsurfers while having breakfast on the terrace and the little boy enjoyed the playpen for babies. The beach is a stone's throw away. For finer sand and cleaner water, we walked along the beach for about 5 minutes. The rooms are spacious, the mattress in the matrimonial bed is very comfortable. The extraordinary sofa in the living room, you can rest there while looking at the sea. The kitchen is equipped with everything, maybe too much for vacation. I really liked the glass door from the living room that opens wide, so you have the big one close. Also, the window-shutters in the master bedroom give the impression of a story. The food in the area is ok. You can find several varieties. The prices are ok. Even though we was at the beginning of June, the weather was very suitable for families with children. Warm, but not too warm. The water was also good, to go in for a few minutes.

What was a little uncomfortable: the phone signal and internet very weak, we understood that this is the area. And the lack of a washing machine (it would help to rinse some clothes in the evening, so you can carry less luggage, if you stay for a longer period).

The property is an entire 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, apartment with another separate apartment above. It is extremely well equipped with everything you need. The hosts were lovely and met us on arrival, even though it appeared they had come some distance. They gave us clear instructions on how to get to the property (by taxi) which worked really well. The apartment is located just a couple of houses from the beach with nice views of the sea from the front balcony, and there are 2 excellent restaurants within 30 metres, both of which are right on the beach. We particularly liked that it is in a rather "remote" spot so hardly any other tourists around. There was a nice bakery, cafe and local store with basic provisions within walking distance. We loved watching the windsurfers and kite surfers who were absolutely amazing. The apartment has a homely atmosphere and had everything we needed.

The hot water "system" was rather unusual and you had to turn it on and off within the shower cubicle. It seemed a little concerning that the electrical setup was very close to the water and would not be certified in most other places. However, the hosts gave us clear instructions on how to use it and it worked out OK. Although Booking.com website described the apartment as having a washing machine, the hosts said that it wasn't included and they had to give us a special key to use it (for which we were very grateful).
