Villa Tipica Casa Tua

Keys in the door allowing us to check in early. We were met later by the host who explained everything clearly. He had been in touch previously to explain bits & bobs. Cool and dark bedrooms were great. Great space both inside and out including great lighting. Pool was fantastic even though it needed topping up manually. Unless you have a car, you need to walk up 197 uneven and somewhat overgrown steps up to Ragusa Ibla and then a further 58 well maintained ones before getting to the gardens. No problem if you are fit and able like we were at the end (!), but a challenge for those unsteady and impossible for prams or small children. No lights on the path made going down them with phone torches interesting, and tickly due to the furry moths!

Not all beds made up, but that was soon sorted. Needed an additional power adapter for the kettle and coffee machine. Host warned us about not using too much electricity as high loads can tend to trip the supply. This could do with sorting although wasn’t an issue during our stay.

We had a great time here. Lovely villa and great pool. Really peaceful yet only 15 mins walk into the lively Ragusa Ibla with its Baroque history and a huge choice of restaurants.

Excellent location, 15 minutes walk to the centre of Ragusa Ibla. Villa is comfortable and well equipped with a lovely private garden and pool.
