Welcome to our home in Tahoe and thanks for checking us out.. We feel so lucky to have a home that we love in Lake Tahoe and want to be able to share the beauty of Tahoe with our guests!
Our home is located in quiet Kingswood Estates, just 5 miles from Northstar and 1 mile from the lake. It is the perfect location for summer and winter time activities in the heart of Tahoe’s North Shore. Kings Beach, just a mile away boasts a fantastic beach with water rentals for all tastes. Grocery shopping and many great restaurants are within a 5 minute drive. We are also just 5 miles down the road from Northstar at Tahoe; Squaw, Alpine, Homewood, Tahoe City, and Truckee are all within a 20 minute drive. Itching to gamble? A 10 minute drive gets you to the Stateline and Nevada casinos.
The home itself is a comfortable 2150 square feet, with 4 bedrooms 2 ½ baths, an attached 2 car garage, and covered front porch for your convenience! The lower level of the home has 3 bedrooms – one king bedroom with walk-in closet for plenty of storage space that is directly connected to the downstairs bath. The 2nd downstairs bedroom has a queen log bed with a small desk, and the third downstairs bedroom has 3 sets of bunk beds…perfect for the kids! Two of the downstairs bedrooms have LCD TV's with DVD players, and all the beds have cozy linens and comfortable mattresses to rest after a long day of play! Also downstairs are the full sized washer and dryer for your convenience.
At the top of the stairs you enter the Living Room with vaulted ceilings with floor to ceiling windows. There are two “Tahoe Style” sofas in the living room and 2 comfortable recliners. The wood stove in the corner is perfect for those cold Tahoe evenings (we provide the wood of course). For entertainment we offer a 55” HDTV and DVD player, and stereo system. We also have a good supply of movies for kids and adults and a Wii gaming console. Our home is also set-up with Wi-Fi, should you choose to stay “connected” during your Tahoe visit.
Upstairs you will also find the huge master bedroom with attached bath. There is an amazing CA King reclaimed wood "Tahoe" bed in the Master with a sliding door that leads to the deck. The attached master bath offers dual sinks with an oversized soaking tub and a large walk in closet. There is a new 32’ LCD TV in the Master bedroom.
The kitchen is huge, with room for all of your cooks with GE Profile stainless steel appliances. We keep it well stocked with everything you might need for cooking – if you are worried we might not have what you need please ask! There is an eating bar with 3 stools (great for keeping the cook company). The dining room table seats 8 comfortably and has a slider out to the extremely large deck (over 1,000 square feet or outdoor space with a peek lake view!).
The deck provides plenty of space for afternoon relaxing in the summer and fall months, and has a beautiful filtered view of the lake. It features a large table with umbrella, lounge chairs, 2 large space heaters, and a large stainless steel barbecue.
For the kids we have a pack n’ play, co-sleeper, high chair, booster chairs, bed rails and even potty seats! We have a baby gate at the top of the stairs and nightlights located throughout the home. For use during your stay, we have beach toys, snow toys and a wagon! Need more? We can refer you to a baby rental company in Tahoe and if you need a night or day out with just the adults we can recommend a babysitting service nearby!
We have made every effort with our home to make it as comfortable and inviting as possible. We have rented homes for many years in Tahoe, and have included those special amenities that we have always appreciated most! The home is stocked with games for kids and adults, puzzles, videos and music as well as a supply of “Tahoe Toys” for winter and summer (beach chairs, floaties and rafts, boogie boards, beach umbrella, coolers and a wagon to get them all to the beach)! We also have 2 kayaks and a paddle board that you are welcome to use if you can get them safely to and from the beach. We have corn hole boards in the garage - set up on the deck or in the driveway. In the winter we have sleds and snow toys. For your furry friends we have an extra large size doggie bed, and dog bowls! We have books with local attractions, maps, hikes, our favorite beaches, restaurants and ski areas. We are always happy to recommend our favorite activities...

The house was clean & exceptionally equipped for all of the meals we prepared ! The beds were all very comfortable, as well as the living room being large enough with enough seating for all our family.

Arrived at check in and everything was perfect for our family group of 9. Spacious kitchen living areea which opened onto large external deck. High dealings and large windows with views of surrounding woody area. Took hikes from the cabin. Close to kings beach. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Will definitely be back

The house was well stocked with everything one could need, especially the kitchen and additional items for the beach. Communication with the owner was smooth.However, the property is very outdated and not well maintained. The flooring/carpet was old and stained throughout the home. Normally we are a shoes-off in the house family, but the flooring was so bad that it was better to keep shoes on.Temperature was an issue in the summer. We did not expect air conditioning, as it is Tahoe, however, it was very hot upstairs and we couldn't get the main fan to work. Additionally, all the windows were screwed shut upstairs so it was hard to get airflow. In our bedroom downstairs, the window would open, but there was no screen, so our room quickly filled with insects.Both of the couches in the living room are very old and extremely uncomfortable (they are so sunken in and hard to get out of, especially for our parents, who are older). For our family, this made it impossible for us to all sit together in the evening.The location was good, although not within walking distance to King's Beach. The outdoor deck was nice, but again, shoes are needed as it is older and has not been recently sanded or stained. I would likely not stay here again, overall, it was not as comfortable and relaxing as it could have been with proper furniture and maintenance.
