The location, the helpfulness of Matteo, the outside areas, the nearness to the ferry

The lack of air conditioning or fans, though Matteo kindly obtained a fan for me.

Host met us at the train station. Waterfront location, beautiful gardens. Host very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Any additional questions or requests were met promptly and efficiently. Although we were told that two other parties were also staying on site (and therefore sharing some of the facilities available) we didn't see them. Close to the train station, very scenic train ride to the town through vineyards and alongside Lake Iseo. Good facilities eg., shop, bakery, restaurants nearby. Very relaxing spot and beautiful views from our balcony.

Not a huge issue, just a bit unusual, however due to the position of the plug sockets, the kettle was located to the far side of the room rather than the kitchen area. Also visitors from the UK should be aware that there can be 3 pin plug sockets in Lombardy so standard UK to Europe adaptors won't fit. We had already bought a couple of adaptors before arriving at this accommodation and we were expecting it.

A wonderful flat in a very beautiful house, lovingly furnished with special antique furniture, with attention to detail, everything very much to feel good. A well-kept garden with colourful flowers and a hammock between the olive trees, with a view through the garden gate directly onto the lake (with the possibility to go directly from the footbridge into the water...). A wonderful place to read and relax. At night you could occasionally hear the waves in the lake from your bed. We especially liked the extra terrace, surrounded by fragrant plants, where we always had breakfast, we could have spent the whole day there. Matteo took care of us and gave us tips. Many thanks to him for having us stay in this house! Marone is a nice place, bars and cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Absolutely highly recommended!
