Relaxed and core village life

Our stay at Čikić household was a true pleasure – the atmosphere was beautiful, peaceful, and warm, exactly what one hopes for when escaping the city. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always smiling, making us feel truly at home. The homemade food was a special highlight, prepared with great care, fresh ingredients, and rich traditional flavors – absolutely delicious. A lovely extra touch was the homemade rakija, offered free of charge to all guests and always within easy reach, adding even more charm to the overall experience. Additionally, Dona, the hosts’ dog, was absolutely adorable and very affectionate, making our stay even more enjoyable and memorable.

Zasavica tour

The hosts are extremely kind. The accommodation met our expectations. A village household with phenomenal domestic food, big portions.. We were welcomed with bread, salt, and rakija.We’ll definitely come again. Highly recommended!

Unique experience with great homemade food.

It was the perfect countryside experience. The host is super nice, they offer great homemade food and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. It is perfect for a weekend getaway or in our case for a good sleepover on a road trip.

Best price family house with everything included!

The house is in a country-side place, really quiet and very beautiful organised, with simple people welcoming you kindly and helping you anytime. There is a very good limonade and homemade juice whenever you want. The breakfast is really good, and we also wanted the dinner option, payable there on spot, it had 3 courses and a dessert of everything being made right then in the kitchen, traditional Serbian food.

A pleasant vacation in the Serbian countryside with extremely friendly and hospitable hosts.

Everything about the accommodation was great. Even though we were only there for one night, we experienced real Serbian culture. Upon arrival, we received a nice welcome with cake and brandy, and even though we arrived at the accommodation late in the evening, they still served us dinner, which was more than plentiful. The hosts are extra friendly and helpful and make sure you feel really comfortable and pleasant with them. The accommodation itself is beautifully decorated and clean and is a demonstration of true rural tourism. The breakfast and homemade coffee were also unique. We were pleased that they also accepted our pet cat who traveled with us. If you are looking for a real authentic Serbian experience outside the city, Domačinstvo Ćikić is definitely the right choice because they will take good care of you.

Nice stay at this farm house!

We loved the personal touch and the farm life at the accomodation. The rooms were not big or fancy, but you spend your time as much outside as possible. We loved it. If you are in this area this is definitely a place to stay! The family is really friendly and they have big plans for their BnB.

Nice place with great hosts

The hosts are amazing as always and truly go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Our daughter loved spending time with the animals and playing in the yard.

This was our second time here, and I must say it wasn’t quite like the first. This time, our room was smaller and not very well cleaned, and unfortunately, we couldn’t get a good night’s sleep because of mosquitoes and our daughter still has big spots all over her body (although this is not the hosts’ fault). The third bed was also really uncomfortable and hard.

Experience rural Serbia

Lodging is situated in a calm rural area where there's little noise and you feel integrated in your surroundings. The hosts were very hospitable even offering homemade rakia. Breakfast was very well served. They also serve dinner at a very reasonable price.

Very friendly rural farm stay.

Fantastic home made food. The family and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Wonderfully quiet rural location. Bicycles available for short ride to the local nature reserve, where there is fantastic bird life. The owner is quite a character who goes out of his way to encourage you to take a crafty sip of rakija any time from dawn to dusk. Take a moment to visit their cattle, sheep and chickens. Highly recommended. Just an hour or so from the international airport and so great spot to start or end a trip.

Typical Serbian welcome

Amazing owner and his family. We were welcomed by a typical Serbian ‘hleb i sol’ (bread and salt, you must not refuse), then some ‘rakija’ and ‘domaća kava’ (coffee). He was always there in the courtyard in case we needed something. His son gave us a good tip to visit the wonderful folk fest in nearby Sremska Mitrovica. The room is clean, not luxurious (just like on the photos), but big quite enough and you have a lot of space to relax outside the room. There is a huge and secure parking. The breakfast is huge and very delicious. We also took supper and it was very delicious, too. Highly recommended!

Amazing hosts

This was our second visit in this house (and probably not the last one). The hosts were amazing again. Typical Serbian welcome again (bread and salt, rakija, coffee). Excellent dinner, excellent breakfast, nice and clean rooms (just like on the photos). And this time we could also admire 3-days old puppies.

Wonderful warm hospitality close to Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia

We received a wonderful welcome on arrival. Even before we checked in our host treated is to a traditional Serb welcome of freshly-baked bread, some salt, and a glass of Šljivovica. Well, actually, several glasses each. We sat outside in the garden until late, and enjoyed delicious home cooking. The accommodation was comfortable and breakfast excellent. All-in-all a really enjoyable experience. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic place for a relaxing stay

Fantastic country side property, the owners welcomed us with homemade delicious bread at our arrival.We felt very much welcomed as like at home. We enjoyed staying in the nice green garden. The whole place is very quiet, clean and comfortable. The owners cocked for us a fantastic dinner. The property is managed by a family, very kind and friendly people. We appreciated everything, silence, homemade food and especially the breakfast with tradicional local delights. Thank you!

Amazing gem in the Serbian countryside managed by amazing family

Amazing place. I took the 20-minute detour for spending the night on my way to Slovenia and it was worth every minute. Felt very welcome and the premises are huge and very beautiful. The reception by the owner with homemade bread and Rakia is something I will remember for a long time. As I had to leave very early, they prepared a tasty breakfastbag to take away. Communication was very heartfelt and caring. They asked me repeatedly if I needed anything and whether all was "super". I will definitely come back for a longer stay to explore the Sava river area

we stayed at "House Jelisaveta"-an old barn converted and decorated to a very nice studio.it is cooled/heated by inverter AC.household has a beautifull garden where You can enjoy coffie/wine or local craft beer. breakfast (included) and dinner (paid) were great.low priced excellent home made food,very delicious and abundant.good house wine too.owners are very kind.traditional welcoming by owners-pogacha(home made bread),salt,black coffie and rakija (schnaps).would reccomend.

since this household is located in a village the surrounding will smell like one so dont be surprised :-). fortunately in the beautifull garden/rooms in the household it will not be noticed.

New Year stay at Zacavica

We really enjoyed our New Year holidays in this place! Our hosts were very nice, kind and generous - we've never seen such warm people ❤️ They made us all necessary transfers. Food was delicious. We seeked calm and quiet stay far from the city and have found it in Zacavica :) Will definitely come to you at summer.
