Meephawa was absolutely wonderful! Recently updated, modern bungalows that offered a great value, along with a very attentive and helpful staff, made our stay there just incredible. The very kind young lady who was working during our entire stay was so very happy to assist us, fixing simple and delicious breakfasts, calling us tuk-tuks when we needed to get around, taking care of our laundry, keeping everything super clean and pleasant, the list goes on! The surrounding area is interesting, and loaded with Thai families enjoying the Maeklong river and all of its bounty. The resort is very near the Amphawa Floating Market, and just north of the resort is a very cool little restaurant and bar called Sax in the Garden where there's plenty of ice-cold beer and live music. We particularly enjoyed singing karaoke on our last night there. We hope to return to Samut Songkhram in the future, and we will probably return to Meephawa resort when we do so. I can't think of a single thing I didn't like about Meephawa Resort. Everything was wonderful!!!

The property manager was excellent and all smiles, My partner and I had checked in late evening, and the property manager made sure we got our keys and helped us with our luggage. The room was comfortable and sizeable fit both our 3 large suitcases no problems. There isn’t much around the hotel however there’s a coffee shop open next to the hotel during the day as well as 2 restaurants and a family mart 50m down the road which made things easier. Breakfast was great, the manager having prepared a small breakfast buffet of toast, and pastries as well as tea and coffee and condiments plus a home made asian breakfast soup which was yum! The pond in the middle of the hotel is nice, you can even feed the fish for 10b which was a great way to start the day, if you’re travelling to the near by markets / amphawa area, the hotel manager can easily organise a tuk tuk for you for a very fair price, which we used his services a number of times during our 2night stay. For anyone wanting a comfortable nights sleep, and a feel of true Thai hospitality, meephawa is the place. If we are in the area again, we would love to be welcomed back.
