Our 5-night stay at Ari’s Homestay was the absolute highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, Ari and her family made us feel like part of their own, offering a level of kindness and hospitality that is rare to find.
If you stay here, you must take the cooking class! It was an incredible immersion into local culture and flavors. Ari shops at the local market (which is literally five steps away) every morning to ensure every ingredient is perfectly fresh. We ate at her warung every night because the food was simply the most delicious and affordable we found in the area. Plus, the breakfast is fantastic with so many great options to start the day. The view from the warung is stunning.
The homestay is perfectly positioned near the stunning rice terraces and the start of the famous Munduk waterfalls walk. Ari also helped us organize a tour with a guide who was quite knowledgeable and shared interesting insights about the region.
The family truly goes the extra mile. They even gave us a ride to a nearby town when we needed an ATM, and we really appreciated that they accept card payments as well.
We also fell in love with Pippo the dog and the adorable bunnies—they add such a charming, homey feel to the place.
We left Ari’s Homestay with full hearts and wonderful memories. If we ever return to Munduk, there is no question where we will be staying. Highly, highly recommended!

The best service in Bali - super kind staff and amazing food. Organised washing, driver, massage, spare bed, and fabulous cooking class. The old style buildings are beautiful, romantic, and filled with character. The pool is lovely and the gardens are lush and filled with flowers. The surrounding mountains, and flower and vegetable filled farms are beautiful. The included breakfast was the best we had in Bali - superb French toast and eggs. Did a day trip to Bedugul and really enjoyed the market, temple, and botanical gardens. Wearing a jumper to dinner was a treat - lovely cool air.
Ear plugs are provided and needed, roosters are housed nearby. It is a steep walk to the lake with lots of dogs and bikes. This property would be better if you had your own transport.

The location is brilliant, perfectly located to walk to the waterfalls and hikes around the village.
The views are stunning and the staff were really kind, talkative and helpful.
The room was clean, plus there were a few rabbits in the garden (which our kid loved)
Unfortunately the room was rather stuffy at night without AC
Maybe a sign on the road would help as we spent a while trying to find the place to begin with
