Would highly recommend

The location is brilliant, perfectly located to walk to the waterfalls and hikes around the village. The views are stunning and the staff were really kind, talkative and helpful. The room was clean, plus there were a few rabbits in the garden (which our kid loved)

Unfortunately the room was rather stuffy at night without AC Maybe a sign on the road would help as we spent a while trying to find the place to begin with

Lovely family run homestay

Small family run guest house run by a lovely family. Room is simply furnished but comfortable. Good breakfast, and even better meals in the restaurant. Many previous reviews mentioned the noise of dogs and roosters. These were noise in the distance, not outside the window. I didn't find either a problem and had no problems sleeping. These were normal sounds that you would expect to hear in a local village and were not intrusive. Embrace the experience of living in a family run homestay! I would happily stay here again. Several good restaurants within easy walking distance.

Only small issue was the lack of hot water for showers. Maybe because it is solar heated and it had been cloudy for a few days? Anyhow...I just had my showers earlier in the day... Not such a big deal.

Amazing location - the view to be seen

The location of this property was one of our favourite places during the whole of our stay in Bali. Breakfast was also really really good and left us with no complaints. We also got lots of our laundry done - Aris was brilliant and had it all ready for us the next day.

Nice place to stay in beautiful Munduk

We had one of the upstairs rooms which gave us a superb view of the forested landscape from our balcony. Located in the central part of the strung out town it was a good spot and close to most of the restaurants. We rented scooters from the homestay which was ideal for visiting the local waterfalls and the lakes. It was a great choice for us and good value too.

A peaceful and pleasant getaway

This hotel was truly a relaxing and wonderful place to stay. The food was excellent, and I especially loved the pineapple cake, I had it for breakfast every morning! The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's location is perfect for those who want to get out and explore, with some beautiful walking trails nearby. An added bonus was the great laundry service; it was both high-quality and very affordable.

The view was spectacular. The sitting area outside room was lovely. And breakfast was good. The staff and owners were very friendly and very helpful.

The bed sagged. It wasn’t as comfortable as we would’ve liked, but it was still fine. We did not have Internet in our room so you will want to have data.

Beautiful view - friendly family.

The staff and family were very friendly and welcoming. They were always available to help. Aris even came to get rid of a huge spider for us one day which was in our bathroom - we were very grateful. Daily room cleaning. Great view. The rooms have access to outside so be ready to expect visitors - we had lots of ants in the bathroom and a spider. The net means you are safe sleeping.

The WiFi for us was very bad / not functional. The hot water in the shower rarely worked - once we asked Aris and she was able to change some things to get it to work but the next day it wasn’t working again.

I did not realize that munduk is a town of 2 streets. So it was a little culture shock for me to be in this tiny town, but the nature around made up for it!

Nice room with beautiful view

We felt very comfortable at Aris home stay. Very beautiful few and great opportunities for hikes. The owner is very nice, helpful and a great cook, so we ate there all three evenings in a row the delicious food.

Very welcoming and friendly family. The location was superb. if you like to wake up with the sound of nature, this is most definitely a place you want to consider.

The mattress could use a replacement, it felt as if it wasn't very supportive anymore. Then again, this can come down to personal preference too.

Pleasant stay, good food and scenic views!

Stayed in the 2 rooms on the second level next to the restaurant/kitchen and therefore had more interactions with the owners & reception/kitchen staff, so it definitely felt more like a homestay for us! Happy and satisfied with our 3 nights there.

Exceptional room (take the better one with balcony with view it's worth it), full of light, truly clean, restaurant serving absolutely delicious food, friendly family owning the place... it really was amazing to stay there I will come back one day Good as well to work a bit on the Laptop in the restaurant

At first I had a room in the corner - ground floor and it smelled a bit modly but I changed and showed the owner lady what I was talking about and she was genuinely taking in the constructive feedback in and thanked me for it.

Excellent home stay close to the waterfalls

The property was quiet but right off the Main Street with excellent views of the mountains. It was nearby to the waterfall hiking trail and I went on the guided trekking with Mr. Aris to three really beautiful waterfalls. The family that runs this place is so friendly and it was a lovely stay. I wanted to extend one more night but they were full otherwise I would have stayed longer!

Incredible homestay and view!

Amazing property and one of a kind service! Our room was large, clean and comfortable and had a stunning view of the mountains. The restaurant on location is fantastic and overlooks the beautiful mountains. The view is incredible, but the best part of the Homestay are the owners. From our early arrival we received friendly and excellent service. She and her husband happily suggested local attractions and things to do, such as nearby hikes and waterfalls. They rented us their scooter each day for a very fair price as well. The restaurant is great and includes a wider variety of Balinese food than we have typically seen. The food was so tasty we decided to take a cooking class here which is now one of our favourite things we’ve done here in bali. We highly recommend this homestay to anyone for the view, amazing price, and wonderful hospitality.

Very nice stay!

The homestay was right in the centre of Munduk with a beautiful view of the hills. The staff were very friendly and helped us with a trail for the waterfalls and arranged transport when necessary :) great stay!

Amazing View

The view is amazing and the room was very clean. Each room has a small terrace with a table and chairs to sit and admire the view. We enjoyed playing card games there and admiring the view. The hosts are very kind and are happy to help with whatever you need.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, it was a little too soft for our taste. There was sometimes a faint smell of sewage (not horrible but not roses either).

Great homestay

Aris and her family were super welcoming. Simple room but very comfy and clean (with a mosquito net without hole). We stayed there for 2 days and loved it! Food is really nice (you can book a cooking class), really well located to do Munduk hiking. They also helped us to rent a scooter so we could visit the area. We will definitely go back, thank you for everything

Breakfast was delicious, those Balinese pancakes. Yum. It’s quiet, and the air is fresh because there was no burning nearby. There is burning happening at other parts of Munduk.

good view of the mountains. good location. might be good for 1 night

Almost everything. Poor cleanliness, we had sheets with blood spots! The owner rented us her scooter (80k, same price of a normal scooter rental) and then we realised it had registration expired when we were already out of the town! luckily nothing happened otherwise we were in big troubles with police! No carpet in the bathroom, was impossible to keep the floor dry. Very poor breakfast, asked for “continental” (toast with eggs and jam) for 3 days and it wasn’t available! got raw pancake instead! under average food at Warung, you will find much better in the nearby. wifi wasn’t good. It’s not worth the money, For the same price I’ve found much better in Bali.

Nice stay with the Aris family.

The room was basic but comfortable. no fan or air con but a mosquito net was provided over the comfortable bed. Owners were friendly and we hired Mr Aris to take us on a hike to 4 nearby waterfalls over 4 hours, he had good knowledge and about the area. Breakfast was tasty and pre booked at a time to suit our schedule.

It was a long drive to a lot of things we wanted to see so a bit remote location wise.
