Great location in a fabulous complex that is close to the beach and shops in Eden Bay. The apartment has a superb view. Thank you for the attentive messaging from staff and the complimentary sparkling wine. Glasses for two, but there were 3 guests. Cheese board, a nice touch, but no point without the cheese! Beach towels were also very welcome.
The apartment had more of an Air Bnb feel about it and not what I had expected from Booking.com, having stayed at numerous places booked via this site. We visited in January, a very hot time of year. While it was accepted that there was no air conditioning, there were also no fans, and this made it extremely uncomfortable, especially in the evenings. Ceiling fans or even a few standing fans in the rooms was really a very obvious ommission and a basic requirement that was sadly missing from this apartment! It is an easy fix and essential for Cape Town. The apartment also lacked basics like handsoap in the bathroom. There was also no shower gel or shampoo. I have always found these at other locations, and visitors sometimes forget to bring these along. There was some random stuff in the kitchen cupboards, and it was not entirely pristine. There was also peeling paint near the window of one of the bedrooms. The front door lock is very simple, and Yale lock seems out of action. Less than secure and door blowing open if left unlocked but closed. Complex has gone a little over the top with its hectic speed bumps.
