Disappointing and unsafe

Only the location is near to the place I wanted to get my business.

My stay was very disappointing. The room smelled too bad, and the floor was sticky. The water kettle doesnt work, so we couldn’t make any coffee or tea. There was no lighting at all in the bathroom or kitchen, making them nearly unusable. On top of that, the balcony door couldn’t be closed, allowing cold air in all night and making us feel unsafe. Overall, it was a very uncomfortable experience. The photos doesn't show the exact facts, like smells, the coffee kettle which doesn't works, the lightning....etc

we were on the 5th floor and there are ants in the room. one of the beds has a broken leg. there are few sockets in the room. and the most convenient one worked poorly and the wings and the contact went away.

I expect not getting malaria from the mosquitoes in this apartment

The rest, really hot place for just having a fan, I had to open the windows, by the way really good terrace, the only thing was that we were attacked by the worst kind of mosquitoes. Honestly, I came with my family to a relatively cheap place to have a Vietnam war experience. The staff is not even in the reception and the system is made for taking you more money for the service of cleaning, how can I clean by myself the apartment if there is not even a brush? If you are planning to book this accomodation, I recommend to bring napalm

You need better staff and better service

Window was hard to open and it is connected to another rooms which is uncomfortable for privacy. Kitchen didn’t have accessories while there was heater to cook but we didn’t even have pan to cook. We had plates and spoons but no sponge to clean those dishes. We couldn’t even put our drinks open anywhere because red ants would appear out of nowhere and i am not talking about 3-4 ants but there were a lot. As soon as we came in for check in. The staff was nice not gonna lie but there was strong smell of weed (so not friendly family place). The sound proofing is really bad. Almost at 11 at night there were people with car (in property itself) and they were talking and making noises a lot. It is understandable that not everyone can follow the rules but sound proofing should be good in this case. But no … the proofing was really bad. The same night we couldnt sleep because we could hear someone else’s snoring from another room. The life smelled really bad as someone didn’t clean it for months. I live myself in Mechelen and i think this was the worst one i have ever experienced. About pictures.. after seeing your review on google I think i dont need to share pictures about what im talking about.

The rooms are clean and it has a bed, shower and a small kitchen.

It was hot as a sauna (outside it was 16 degrees) and only a roof window that did not bring any cooling. Hardly slept due to the heat. Paid 15 euro for a parking spot but the parking was full of mini vans. No space left for me.

It was actually dirty, with no heat and lots of humidity. Despite the fact that we made lots of complaints, nothing really changed. In addition, the admission card didn't work so we have big trouble getting in the building, as we couldn't have communication with no one.

The hotel was located in the centrum of the old city in Mechelen

The bathroom was the worst I have ever seen in the hotel. Everything was dirty, filthy and old. The shower was broken and the water didn’t drain.

Bad experience

Do not stay here. It was noisy all night with shouting and banging on doors and many people coming and going. I was extremely uncomfortable as a solo traveller. It did not feel safe and I barely slept. I had booked for two nights and left after one. The shower was mouldy and the toilet was not clean.

Being a studio room with kitchen, there was no extractor, window could not open making the room to be stuffy.

Heating and parking issues

The beds were comfortable, the room efficiently stuffed, with a lot of light. There is an elevator and the location is nicely centered.

We booked 2 rooms. One was overheated, the other freezing cold. We adjusted the heating systems but it didn't solve the situation timely for the night. Parking places must be paid when coming by car... but the parking lot was overbooked so that we were lucky we could leave at all the next morning!!
