Sky View Apartment Vienna

Het uitzicht was zeer leuk vanop de 33ste verdieping. Het is een ruim appartement met een aparte wc, badkamer en slaapkamer. De keuken is voor zien van bijna alle nodige voorzieningen. Ook handdoeken, zeep, toiletpapier en keukenrol waren aanwezig. Je kan TV kijken en beschikt over de mogelijkheid om je abonnementen voor andere providers te koppelen tijdens het verblijf. Het ruime terras met stoelen en tafel bieden een mooie toevoeging bij warmer weer. Onderaan het appartementsblok is een klein winkelcentrum, met onder andere een supermarkt, een apotheek, eetgelegenheden, waar je alles wat je nodig hebt kunt halen. Op wandelafstand heb je nog andere verschillende supermarkten en andere. Naast het gebouw heb je een parkeergarage (tegen betaling) waar de auto veilig kan staan. Ook een station van de U-Bahn ligt naast het gebouw. Met de U1 geraak je snel in het centrum van Wenen. Want het openbaar vervoer is hier super geregeld! Daar dit nog net binnen de rand valt, heb je geen extra ticket nodig en kan je met een normaal ticket heel Wenen bezoeken. Ik heb mij hier 4 weken zeer goed thuis gevoeld.

In de slaapkamer zou een verduisterende rolgordijn beter zijn zodat je niet wakker wordt bij zonsopgang. Een kleine microgolfoven zou een grote meerwaarde zijn. Heb er zelf een meegebracht. Maar is eerder een suggestie! De zetel in de woonkamer kan tot bed worden omgebouwd, waardoor de zitkwaliteit iets minder was. Ook geen echte negatieve kritiek.

The apartment is on the 33rd floor and has a gorgeous view of Vienna. It is located within a shopping mall in which a large grocery store (Inter Spar) is located, as well as a variety of other shops and restaurants. It is also located just about a 2-minute walk from a subway station (U1) that leads directly to the heart of Vienna at Stephansplatz. The apartment is nicely decorated, with lots of room for storage, and the beds are comfortable. Considering all of the pluses, it is also very reasonably priced.

The keys were in a lockbox attached to a bicycle rack around the corner of the building from the apartment--which was hard to find at night when we arrived. Furthermore, the address we received from the manager was incomplete because it did not indicate which building the apartment was located in. (It should have specified "Stiege 2." We later checked the address on Booking.com, and it was correct. But the address from the manager that we were using was not.) The most irritating thing was that the manager would only allow us one key, which is necessary to open the outside door and make the elevator work, as well as to open the apartment door. My husband and I were petrified that we would lose the key and not be able to return to our apartment. In addition, one evening we were both out of the apartment doing different things. I returned first and had to stay awake until midnight so I could let my husband into the apartment building and elevator. If each of us had had our own key, this would not have been a problem. The apartment has a washing machine, but there was no rack to dry clothes on. When I asked the manager about this, he said they did not furnish a rack and we should just dry our clothes on the not so clean furniture. (After receiving his reply, we did find a rack stored on the balcony that he apparently was unaware of.) The apartment had wifi, but there was no internet. After researching this, my husband discovered that the power supply had been removed. When I contacted the manager about this, he told us to send him a picture of the issue (which is impossible to do on Booking.com) and said he would have a technician check it out. Which he did not do. So we bought out own power pack because we did not want to spend a month in the apartment without internet access. (We left the power pack in the apartment for the next guests.)

Als einziges Manko der Kücheneinrichtung empfinde ich das Fehlen einer Mikrowelle. Auch wäre es ganz schön, wenn für die bereitstehende Waschmaschine etwas Waschmittel zur Verfügung gestellt werden würde.

A very well-equipped apartment with an amazing view. Located on the 33rd floor. Nice large balcony on the westside of the building, nice to watch the sunset. Comfortable bed and bathroom. At the feet of the building you will find the metro (20 min to city centre) and a variety of shops (supermarket included).

I had to collect the keys at another address, 10 km away from the apartment. Because I was depending on public transport it was quite an effort which took some time. During my stay I had warm weather (30+). There were little possibilities to cool the apartment (no external sunscreens), so it was pretty warm inside.
