Friendly personal welcome from host. Very convenient location for exploring Bordeaux. Very comfortable bed and all that was needed for a very enjoyable stay in the apartment. Complimentary coffee pods, tea bags, juice and water a lovely touch.

Nothing.

Everything worked! The bathroom, kitchen and appliances are all relatively new and worked well. Windows are ancient and huge. Windows are double paned and shuttered. There were 3 fans. The location is right in the middle of many shops and restaurants. It is on the ground floor, no lift needed. We will return to enjoy Bordeaux again.

It was uncomfortably hot. We were there during many days of 100+ degree weather. The apartment is not air conditioned. The sun set around 10:30 pm, so no relief from the heat until nearly midnight when the air outside was cool enough to open the huge windows, however, with no bars or screens over the windows and being on the ground floor where anyone or animal could easily climb in, we did not keep them open while we slept. The mornings were nice with windows open and the small apartment cooled quickly. We closed it all up to keep the cool air in while we went out , but it was uncomfortably warm when we returned. The apartment got to feeling small and cramped. We did not find the bed and furniture comfortable. The hall and living room closets smelled damp., leaving only a small closet in the bedroom for our clothes. The view is of a dusty courtyard parking lot. Most of the nearby shops and restaurants were not air conditioned, so it was hard to find nearby relief. Thank goodness for air conditioned museums and tours. We will return to Bordeaux again at a time with cooler weather.

A lovely apartment in a 17th century building well situated in the old city of Bordeaux only meters from local square and cafes and restaurants. Would love to stay here again. 🌻

It’s washing machine. It did not spin water from clothes. Clothes came out full of water.

The owner is an excellent host. He met us at the property and took time to explain how everything worked and provided us with lots of helpful information and advice. We very much appreciated his kind gift, some little cakes, which are a specialty of Bordeaux. The apartment is very centrally located but due to its courtyard position, is extremely quiet and safe.
