Parque Marbella

We just went into Skol apartments and picked up keys.

We were told by our lovely taxi driver (From booking.com) where our appt building was, literally across the street. However the note with the keys said the door was beside Luigi’s bar, there is no such place as Luigi’s bar, the people working in that area were trying to figure it out for us too but we finally did figure out that it was beside the Lucky leprechaun. The sheet of paper in the envelope with the keys, gave the details of how to access the apartment. It was full of QR codes and the like but that is no good if sleep deprived weary travellers have phones that are now out of charge. Similary there is a fabulous supermarket literally across the street but it was only after two days we found it. How easy would it have been for the hosts to leave a little map/ note in the appartment to help us with this and when I highlighted this in a nice way to say- for the next group that arrive, I got an e mail to say that “guess you didn’t read the Marbella guide we sent you” ie the famous QR code. The apartment was very spacious with a lovely terrace but very dated. It was a work in progress. The kitchen and bathrooms were lovely and modernised, But the bedrooms or more specifically the beds were awful. There was a huge use of room deodorisers which I had to leave out on terrace during our stay. Not a good sign! The headboards were grubby. I put towels over them. We were given beach towels and bathroom towels which was nice. I was able to wash and replace every day. There was a gate right out on to the pool deck area which was fabulous It was difficult to tune in TV, given the codes on the infamous sheet , but to be fair I’m do not want to be complaining about lack of TV on a holiday…however it is the World Cup The common areas are fabulous. The sleeping/beds are our only issues with this apartment. This is a lovely place to stay but the beds need sorting.

If Carlsberg did holidays this would be it!!! Daniela & Vincenzo are fantastic hosts, accommodation is fabulous, spotlessly clean, secure & and in an amazing location, already planning a return visit!

Bruit le matin suite à des travaux dans l'immeuble et absence de gel douche ou dosette par exemple.

The apartment is clean and everything you need for a short stay holiday. Location is excellent. A bottle of water was in the fridge on arrival and very much appreciated.

The host Danniel was very unhelpful and rude when i was having problems connecting to the wifi. In email she wrote i lacked common sense and that Im difficult. Danniel is super confident in telling customers exactly what she thinks if they coming into difficulties. The welcome letter gives the wrong network code and says the apartments are next to restaurant which is now changed its name to The lucky Leprechaun. They could also hightlight not to go into the left lift as it doesn't go to the 1st floor.
