The staff are very responsive and helped me rent a car and find nasi kerabu nearby. The room and bathroom are very simple but conform to the pictures, so there was no surprise. The room was comfortable and the view from river-facing rooms is beautiful. I changed my plans just to stay there and enjoy the scenary: the fishermen on the river, the long palms on the other bank, and chatting with a Kelantanese family who was fishing from our pier... If in Tumpat again, I'll come back to Maena!

The location, on the riverside. The chalet has its own jetty. The view is awesome. Has ample parking lot.

Wonderful host and very nice view the lagoon.
Good spot for anglers.
It's deep in the village, Google maps and Waze can be deceptive, as the shortest route is small and very narrow. You will have trouble bringing larger vehicles. I think the host should give more instructions on getting to the chalet.
Apart from that, the floor was a little sticky.
No other major issues encountered.

Affordable stay. Stunning view. Near Pengkalan Kubor duty free shopping area (about 5 minutes drive if clear traffic). Recommended for 'kaki pancing' (book room facing river, the river just front/beside your room).
