The host, Isa, was so helpful and assistant with planning our days in Monteverde.
The people at the breakfast place, Café Cappuchino, had a really bad attitude and were acting very unfriendly towards us. So much that we went to another place for breakfast. A very unpleasant experience.

This place is always our go-to when visiting Monteverde. The nicest owners who always make you feel welcomed. And since we were last here, a year ago, they have given their place a do-over, including converting a couple of rooms into a daily
Airbnb, gating the parking area, and working with a nearby cafe which now serves the included breakfast.

The owners were friendly and exceptionally helpful, especially with our transfer from the airport.
Breakfast was very generous and delicious.
Location is a close walk to downtown.

Also the owners gave good local restaurant advice.. including our favourite Cafe Cappuchino!
No outside communal areas to relax or enjoy the view, which is ok in some places but the town has lots of hills and steep roads so would beneficial instead of having to buy a coffee in a cafe any time you wanted to be outside.
The room was also not cleaned at any point during our 4 night stay,and we were only offered new towels once.
Also note, there are also lots of loud barking dogs in the area so light sleepers may struggle, but there are dogs everywhere in Costa Rica.
