Lovely location and grounds, charming apartment and the pool was very nice. We enjoyed playing ping pong and making a BBQ in the garden 👍
Though we got helpful directions in WhatsApp, we were never welcomed or even greeted at the property by anyone. Apparently there is a lady that stays there 2h per day during the weekend, but we never saw her until our checkout on Monday.
The checkout experience was horrible unfortunately and it partly spoiled what had been a very nice stay. It was supposed to be at 10am which we found quite early, specially because we realised only then that we were supposed to empty the 4 different bins for recycling ourselves, to a place with larger bins about 150m away and under the scorching sun, for which I had to make multiple trips because there were no bags provided (had to bring the entire bin). I don't mind doing recycling but having to empty the bins myself at an expensive property is unheard of.
Anyway, between this and managing our 9 months old baby, we were over 1h late for the checkout BUT: I texted the owner of the property around that time and the place looked completely empty (no other guests to be seen in the other apartments), so we assumed a bit of delay was not an issue.
Suddenly the manager which we never saw before entered the apartment and raised her voice complaining of the late checkout, nearly waking up our child which we had managed to put down to sleep with much effort. It ensued an unpleasant discussion between her and my wife, which was completely useless given we were basically ready to leave at that point.
We found this very unprofessional. Typically we are always kindly warned by property management if there is an early check-in by the next guest, or given some margin if possible. But never reprimanded by someone who didn't even bother to greet us and shows up only at the last minute.
