Great location and view from Apartment 9 at the top of the building
Only issue was due to being at the top of the building the water pressure from the electric shower was not great, otherwise would have been a 10 out of 10 given the cost, location, cleanness and lovely staff

We stayed in the Oyster Catcher Cottage. It was a gorgeous, cosy place close to the beach. Clean, warm and a lovely big deck outside with stunning view of Polzeath beach x restaurant very cool, delicious food and super helpful staff. On the beach are pizza huts and a fab Rym Bar x

A fantastic appartment in the most stunning location. Comfortable and has everything you need. The staff here were amazing and so welcoming.
Really great beds and the place was nice & warm over Xmas.

Location
Everything else. The apartments are shabby, walls badly marked, the carpet on the entrance landing is trying to crawl away itself!

Location was perfect for our 50th birthday celebrations.
The bath didn’t drain so every time we showered the water stayed in the bath.
Ran out of toilet rolls too!

Great friendly attentive staff
A broom to sweep up with would be handy.

all was good , location great
staff were stressed and over worked , yes still on the mains very pleasant , need more in restaurant not enough to take orders and no one to pay one evening , which did cause a kerfuffle , but all sorted , it was down to just not enough staff to handle demand

The view
The whole apartment needs updating in lots of areas. For premium cost paid and it was like a Hostel

The location is amazing, wonderful views to wake up to and the Bar/Restaurant is superb.
The bathroom is looking a little dated and some woodwork could do with filling / replacing, but the property has to withstand some harsh winds and weather so to be expected. That said , it was warm quiet and dry inside !

The view from living room and both bedrooms of the sea was fantastic. Lying in bed looking at the view was a dream. Flat was a good size and quiet. Parking is easy in the large car park.
Unfortunately the flat is very tired looking. There's water damage on walls and in the bathroom. It needs redecorating and a new bathroom (it looks old). Didn't feel it offered value for money for a couple. The corridor and stairwell also need redecorating and some new carpets as they look ancient! We didn't realise the hill down to the sea was so steep - not too bad on the way down, but a struggle coming back!

The location is brilliant - very short (but steep) walk to the beach and village centre. The view from our apartment was amazing.
The communal entrance could do with some TLC and a few little bits in the flat need attention but only minor things.

Location excellent, apartment adequate for our needs, bar and restaurant very good and exceptional staff.
Bedroom a little small so door could not open fully without being stopped by the bed.

Location was unbeatable with views onto the beach
Was a little noisy at night with the flat above me banging around at 12.15pm at night, but you cannot blame the proprietor for uncaring traveler’s.

Location was perfect. You can see the beach from my room. The room was super clean and tidy. I couldn't ask for a better room. I can't fault this hotel

The sea view from the apartment.
The poor entrance to the apartment was up a flight of smelly stairs that needed urgent attention to be cleaned up.
All the crockery had to be washed by us before we were able to use it.
The bathroom was particularly tired with rotten woodwork around the doorway.

Perfect location in polzeath. Easy walk to the beach and stunning view of the bay. Simple but very comfortable and clean.
A washing machine would be handy for a longer stay but not a problem for a weekend.

Roomy, good kitchenette facility. Parking easy. Close to Polzeath beach and restaurants
No sea view which was inferred by advertising, shower weak and could not change temperature (only hot) basin was very slow draining

Easy large parking lot, and even at busy time (as it's next to the restaurant) we quickly found a parking spot. Walked straight into the restaurant and gentleman who was slammed with customers, right away made us a priority and got us checked in and walked us over to The Cottage. My partner has stayed in the apartments several times over the years and had no idea that you could even rent The Cottage. Absolutely perfect for a family- great layout with toilet separate from the shower room, perfectly stocked kitchen with everything you would need to cook breakfast/meals for a longer weeks stay. Bunk beds and twin bed in the kids room, and the double bed in our room was fine but strangely short?! We are both smaller people but even our feet were almost hanging off the edge and we were really snuggled close- I have no idea what size the bed was, but it was perfectly comfy and rooms were very relaxing with windows that let in as much breeze as you like. The noise from the restaurant and outdoor bar is obviously going to be there, but we love a bit of atmosphere and our kids are 13yr olds so they weren't bothered, but it's just restaurant chatter until it closes and then it's very quiet.
The Cottage is incredible for it's view- the best probably in all of Polzeath because you have a very spacious deck and a nice big table to sit out and enjoy breakfast, or evening drinks, also great for storing surf/boogie boards/wet suits and has a gate from the side that locks. Very private huge extra space!
The interior is really soothingly decorated and immaculate- the cleanest beach property I've stayed at especially because it's a dog friendly rental- there was no trace of any dog hair or funky dog smell. Even on the huge L shaped very comfortable sofa- and the extra soft blankets they provided. Everything was very clean!!!
It was on the pricey side compared to the apartments, but I think you pay for the view and patio area.

Great location, friendly staff. Lovely views
The shower wasn't powerful at all just a dribble. Other than that no complaints

Really convenient for getting to the beach and having a place that served breakfast lunch and dinner was great.
Having tea and coffee, loads of loo roll, doggy basket, and dish cloths, tea towels and washing up liquid was really handy and thoughtful. Saved us bringing these. We really liked this.
Could’ve done with a bread knife!

It’s a beautiful location, easy access to beach, town and coast path. Apartment was a good size, great view and well appointed. Restaurant and bar were nice although we didn’t eat there I would next time as the food smelled lovely.
There wasn’t much not to like.

Location is absolutely first class and our apartment had the most beautiful view looking out over Polzeath Beach. The apartment was clean and functional, the beds comfy and bed linen crisp and white. Overall we had a lovely stay.
The property was a little tired and could do with some upgrading. The entrance lets the overall feel of the property down with worn & dirty carpets. The entrance doors are old and some of the equipment could do with an update. The bathroom although spotlessly clean could do with an overhaul. Having said that, for the price we paid, we were happy with our stay, and the view from the living room and bedrooms trumped all of the above.

The manager Ryan met us and showed us to our room, he was really friendly and helpful 😁 due to an issue with the original room they had upgraded us to a bigger room with the most AMAZING view of the beach and sea 😍 it totally wowed us!! The living room and kitchen were big and clean and had all the facilities you would need if you were going to have meals in the room. The double bedroom had an amazing view of the beach and plenty of storage space. The second bedroom was large with a double bed and bunk beds with more storage and another amazing view. The beds were really comfy and we had plenty of bedding and towels. The restaurant/bar is really smart and we enjoyed the meals we had there. Sophie was our waitress and she was really lovely and friendly! Everyone there is really nice and I will definitely be back!
The only thing I can think of is that the sofas were a little uncomfortable in places but tbh that didn’t really bother us.

Good value for money. Well located.
The shower was terrible. The water pressure was 3/10.

The location is good, Steep but short walk uphill from the beach. The apartment was functional with kitchen, sofa, TV and bed/bathrooms.
Very soulless room, fine if you are surfing all day and arriving back exhausted but with young family, it needed softer lighting, pictures on the walls etc.

Great location. The guy that gave us the keys also walked us to the apartment and unlocked for us. Staff were all great. Room was OK but clearly designed for surfers - which was fine.
Why would you put a steel staircase up to two other apartments, directly over a bedroom - ours! Cannot believe this design feature, we were in apartment three.

The view was amazing! We booked the family suit and it had a long window in the living room, two bedrooms also have windows facing the bay.

We were so thrilled with the property. Quite unexpected really. View was sensational. Bedding so clean and new. Thoroughly recommend.
We were a bit unsure when walking up the stairs to the first floor. Looked a bit shabby but our apartment once inside was wonderful. Clean. Modern. View.

The location is perfect and overlooks the beach. We took the dog as well so lovely to be able to bring her.
All of the doors as you come up the floors are fire doors so they SLAM shut. That happened a lot unfortunately. The sofas weren’t terribly comfortable either but the location really is the selling point.
