Blanco Hideout Railay - Youth Hostel 18 to 35 Only

Great view and not that far from the east pier. Staff are lovely. The pool is also cool.

There are people def older than 35 imo. Also don’t bring a suitcase because of the stairs. Also, the bed and pillows were a but hard but nothing dramatic. I really hoped they had curtains for the beds tho. Also, some people were really loud outside even at 2am which was nothing dramatic but a bit annoying if you had sleepless nights travelling.

Brilliant location as the only hostel in railay. The Muay Thai event was really fun and the food options were good. We also enjoyed the upstairs area with a nice cold pool and lots of chill areas.

The beds are SO hard, as are the pillows and there are no curtains. This wasn’t a problem for us as our dorm was just our group but just be aware !

Good location, social and big outdoor social space with pool. Friendly staff. Clean 4 bed dorm room.

Mattress was quite uncomfortable

The location is nice and the social atmosphere is good if you’re looking to meet other young travelers. The common areas are pleasant and the vibe is generally relaxed.

To reach the hostel you have to climb very long stairs, which is extremely difficult if you have heavy luggage or any health issues. This should be clearly mentioned. The hostel promotes itself as 18–35 only (it’s even in the title), but during my stay there were families, which makes that rule feel inconsistent. The beds are extremely hard, like sleeping on the floor, and the bunk beds don’t have curtains, so there is no privacy. They also don’t offer free drinking water, which is common in many hostels. I tried to buy water because I didn’t want to go down all the stairs again, but the kitchen was closed, which was very inconvenient.
