Wonderful break at Anvil Cottage with family. Used as a base to explore north wales.

Self check in with parking space. Spacious rooms, jacuzzi, garden tables with great view. Kitchen with all facilities for self catering. Comfortable beds and plenty of storage draws and wardrobe in bedrooms. Clean shower and toilets with complimentary toiletries.

Couldn’t get access to go on the swing by the oak tree. Some of the dogs tended to bark a lot especially when we went into the garden. Sofa could do with replacing as it was hard and too low.

Another brilliant visit

The property is in a great location for visiting so many beauty spots in North Wales and also great to get to Chester and Liverpool for shopping and museums. The facilities are great and the hot tub is brilliant to relax after a long day.

Everything was great. Cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had everything you needed. The views impressive and plenty of things to do around the area. Helen and Mike were really kind. Definitely a place to return.

Perfect place for a relaxing getaway

Bright, clean, well equipped. All the facilities you could need plus a hot tub. Large rooms, lots of space. All very comfortable.

Perfect weekend spot

The cottage is really well furnished and kitted out. We loved the setting, decor, hot tub, everything!

Some small conveniences in the bathroom are missing. Eg there is nowhere to put your toiletries/shampoo/etc while you shower, and there are nowhere near enough towel hooks if you are four people staying in the cottage. But these aren't dealbreakers.

Wonderful stay at Anvil Cottage

Immaculate, great location and lovely owners. Highly recommended. We are already looking at dates to go back. The location is brilliant and near many attractions. Mold town centre is just a couple of miles away and there's plenty of local places to grab food.

Our stay at Anvil Cottage

The cottage and views were beautiful. Mike and Helen were helpful and welcoming. There was good amount of space both indoors and outdoors. More than adequate storage for your things whilst there, and the rooms were pleasant to be in. We made good use of the board games in the evenings, and the whole family loved the jacuzzi hot tub.

The only fault we found was a lack of drying space; such as an airer; for drying swim stuff and towels after making use of the jacuzzi.

Fabulous countryside location next to fields with the wildlife influx of sheep, pheasants, partridges, birds of prey to name but a few. The early morning sky at dawn was was a huge expanse with beautiful tree silhouettes. Beautiful scenes right from the hot- tub. The cleanliness inside and out was perfect. The bed so comfortable and the little themed touches throughout were superb.

There was nothing to dislike about the location, property, greetings on arrival or the welcome gift.

Great cottage with hot tub - comfortable, clean and good location.

Cottage is really comfortable - especially the beds. Great to have a hot tub and nice and private with garden and view to the hills. Really enjoyed our stay.

The WiFi is poor. Also the kitchen only has 4 plates, 4 sets of cutlery - I realise the property is for 4 people but some spares for use whilst cooking, putting things on would have saved on the continuous washing up!

A beautiful, peaceful cottage break, just what we needed.

Everything was great. We were very pleased with the cottage and the views. Helen and Mike are great hosts. They thought about every single detail, we had everything we needed (including a hot tub) ready for us and really enjoyed the welcome gifts and the possibility of a late check out. We strongly recommend it, well worth the money. We will definitely be coming back :)
