Location was brilliant allowed us to explore Chester, Liverpool and a bit of North Wales or a short distance away
The property was very clean and well looked after the style is very quirky and fun. Everything you need was provided and the outside area with hot tub is lovely.
The hosts provided a welcome package with cake, wine and drinks and milk which was a lovely gesture and nice surprise when I opened the fridge.
Woukd definetly stay in this property again!
A little noise from the street but it didn’t really bother us.

We had a wonderful stay at this quirky Holywell property. The entrance is a true masterpiece — it really sets the scene before you’ve even set foot inside. The décor was delightfully amusing, from the “No Riff Raff” sign that made us grin, to the mild obsession with Alice in Wonderland (we half expected the White Rabbit to pop up), and the Chinese-themed master bedroom which was certainly a room with a view… and a twist!
The hot tub and outdoor terrace were the cherry on top, perfect for bubbling away the day’s adventures. And of course, we’ll miss Danny the Dinosaur in the kitchen — a roar-some housemate who quickly stole our hearts.
All in all, this property was a breath of fresh air — quirky, comfortable, and full of character. A stay here is truly unforgettable… no riff raff required!

Diane and Jonny were fantastic hosts and provided a very unique and enjoyable experience for our group.
A welcome basket of crisps, biscuits, soft drinks, and even fresh milk was provided upon arrival, along with a hand-written card which was all a lovely touch and made for a great welcome.
The flat is smack bang in the middle of the high street so a very convenient location but also very quiet so we weren't disturbed by any noise.
The flat smelt lovely throughout, had all the amenities listed and was very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was also lovely and warm, and the house was very spacious but cosy.
We only booked to stay for a couple of nights which was definitely not enough time as the flat had so much to offer, but we could easily see ourselves spending a whole week there in the summer!
The external steps to the property unfortunately weren't accessible/suitable for a member of our party who has mobility issues so they weren't able to stay with us in the end, however it was very handy having a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room all on the same first floor.
Sykes Cottages was difficult and slow to communicate with (I tried to ask them about the floorplan 3 times before I was given an answer, and unfortunately the answer wasn't accurate!!)
