Only Spanish is spoken. The staff were extremely helpful and breakfast was good. The property has an indoor pool, which you can use with the locals. I was able to use the washing machine and laundry facilities. The hostal is a ways away from downtown, requiring a taxi to get to the restaurants and market.
Loud music is played at the pool. Long walk to restaurants. What is listed on Booking.com for accommodations does not match what is available.
