This is simply the best place to stay during your visit to Otavalo! It is in the perfect location, has the nicest staff, great Wi-Fi, super clean, comfy bed, on-site restaurant, warm water, a fully-equipped kitchen for guest use, sitting areas inside and outside of the kitchen, sitting areas downstairs and upstairs! This is a great place to meet other people. We had a group of seven go out one evening to watch the Inti Raymi celebration and we had a great time together!

Beautiful building in a good location half way between the main plaza and the market. Clean, nice bedding and nice communal spaces. The staff on the front desk were helpful and friendly giving me suggestions of things to do and how to get to places.
I wasn't so impressed with the attached restaurant but it was fine and easy for breakfast. The whole hostel had a general smell of food, presumably from the restaurant kitchens. But it wasn't too strong and I still enjoyed my stay.

Place is right in the heart of the city. That might be an issue sometimes due to noise on the street. You should ask for a room not facing the road. Staff is friendly, room was clean.
Water was slow to heat up in the shower. Hotel might need a bit of an upgrade but is fairly decent.
