We loved everything about our stay at pondok Ayu. The staff and very kind and helpful. Breakfast was always delicious. Our room was neat and a lovely space to be in. Excellent value for money

Lovely big clean room with balcony and quiet area with mostly local people. Comfy beds. Good aircon and shower. Not super close to the beach but if it was, it would be more expensive. The gardens and pool were beautiful and the breakfast was great. Staff were beautiful too. It's more independant accommodation (for people who have been to Bali before and don't need help to organise tours, transport, find restaurants, etc.) If you had a scooter it would be perfect. We would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay.

Was nice and quiet. Could hair the birds and insects, what like. Good room lot of space. Could sit outside and hang your clothes to dry. Although it is a walk but within 1in you are at the beach walk with a lot of restaurants. About 25 min walk from Icon mall. Also for surfing in Sanur it’s near to the harbor so easy to go to different surf spots.

Pool was a bit small, however, not a problem. It is far from the beach. So I had to walk about 15 min crossing a big road. Also for me no problem because I knew already.

Love the breakfast,was a little way from main town but the surrounding location was nice and quiet and peaceful all staff and management just so wonderful loved our stay

Great value with a lovely vibe

Large lovely room with a great outlook! Beautiful pool area and setting. Breakfast was nice with the option of having it in the room. Great value for money!!

This wont be an issue for some people but there were lots of families staying when I was there with lots of children playing in the pool, so wasn't the best as a solo traveller. The staff were a bit hard to get a hold of sometimes. The laundry wasn't available but that's ok as there was a great place just 2 minutes walk away. Not much close to the accommodation.

Beautiful piece of paradise in the heart of Sanur.

Beautiful big room. Wonderful staff. Quiet, plant filled courtyard surrounding a clean and inviting pool.

It was a fair walk to the main area, but we enjoyed that aspect. I'm sure you could arrange transport. Sanur Night Market was really close and we had some fresh, authentic and amazing food there over two nights. The Babi Kecap was incredible.

Lovely, quiet and well worth it.

Lovely staff. Breakfast was really good . My room was very clean. Great value for money. Pool was awesome, had many swims.

As a solo traveler, it was a bit far for me. By saying that, I got a push bike to get myself around. The only issue with that, was crossing the busy bypass, but I often got locals involved.

Remarkable!!

It's a real pleasure to rest in such environment. The garden is colorful and zen. The pool clean and refreshing. The staff is paying attention to the property carefully. I will return to the Pondok Ayu again and again.

Surprisingly, you can hear 2 big dogs barking early morning. It is the same all around Bali but sometimes disturbing the ambiance.

A quiet oasis in busy Sanur

We found Pondok Ayu to be an oasis of tranquility in quite a busy part of Sanur as it is situated in a very quiet road off the beaten track. The garden was beautiful and the lovely pool was shaded by mature plants and shrubs. Our room was spacious with good storage areas and there was comfortable outside seating on the balcony and tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and a generous supply of drinking water were provided. There was a good choice at breakfast and everything was freshly cooked to order. We have no hesitation in recommending Pondok Ayu.

This wasn’t an issue for us but future guests may wish to know that rooms are serviced every 2 days.

Room was lovely, clean, comfortable, good aircon, beautiful garden, relaxing pool and atmosphere. Lovely breakfast. Massage available. Staff, helpful, friendly. Daily water provided.

Location not so good if you want to be next to the beach. About a 20mins walk had to cross the busy main road.

We loved the spacious room,the beautiful gardens and the serenity The staff were exceptional - so friendly and helpful

The only negative was our bed. It creaked loudly if you moved in bed. The location isn’t in a tourist area, more of a local area. There’s plenty of eateries in walking distance and it’s a very cheap and quick taxi ride to the tourist strip so it didn’t bother us. We preferred it due to the serenity

If only location improves.

It is a quaint, lovely boutique hotel. Too bad the location is too far from everything. It is very quiet which I like, and the garden is beautiful. The staff very friendly and eager to help, but not everyone speaks English, nor are they there 24/7.

Lovely place in Sanur

This place was so lovely! It is located in a quiet street, just 15mins away from plenty of shops and restaurants. It was beautiful overall. The rooms are very spacious, the bed was comfy & the bathroom was nice. The room was also very clean. The people running the place were very helpful & kind. The pool was nice too. Definitely a great place to stay in Sanur!

I think we made a great choice in coming to Panadok Ayu.

It was so peaceful away from all street noice The staff were so friendly, could communicate well and served a very good breakfast. We took a Grab Taxi from there to the beach a short distance and a couple of $S only

It wasn’t an easy walk to the beach and there was a big road to cross on the way.

Beautiful small hotel

The small boutique hotel is beautiful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts delicious.

Booking .com claim 800 metres to beach, as the crow flies this may be true. It takes over 20 minutes and you have to cross over an extremely busy road. For us the beds and pillows were to hard.

It wasn’t we expected then before.

You can see on the picture here, it is beautiful swimming pool. But it is a pond in the jungle now. Almost all pool side with plant pot, looks the facility very small than before .

The property looks smaller than we visit few years ago when we visit. With a lot of plant pot at pool side. The new owner doesn’t have nature mind.

I’ll be back next year

Have stayed here many many times over the years. It’s very comfortable, spotless and lovely pool and garden. Staff are just diamonds and it’s great to see familiar faces every year. Good breakfast especially they don’t have a restaurant. I have spent 3 Nypei with them and again they all look after us so well. Fridges in rooms and endless bottled water. And must not forget Bella the cat who is usually to be found asleep on a chair beside me at breakfast.

Peaceful, clean and staff were lovely.

The owner occupies a room there and has claimed half the pool, put strangely placed plants in pots all around the pool so it looks very messy. She was always calling staff to attention whilst you’re trying to relax around the pool and spying from her net curtains. Very invasive and very weird

Very good homestay with good facilities

Nice and clean room. Very friendly staff. Just a 15 minutes walk from the beach, market and restaurants. Swimming pool in the beautiful garden is very nice. You could stay here longer. The room is big enough and facilities are great. Much storage, good bathroom

Excellent facilities, comfortable bed, huge room and closet. Had a kitchen which was handy for tea making. Huge bottle of drinking water. Staff excellent, the entire property was spotless, lovely breakfasts.

Dreamy days

I had an incredible and wonderful stay in Bali for the first time. The dedication and impeccable service of the staffs, the very beautiful house and garden with many flowers, the clean swimming pool, the bright and well-maintained large room, everything was perfect!
