The house is quiet and secluded, yet within easy walking distance to Greenport Village, offering the best of both worlds.

With a strong nautical history, Greenport is a water-lover’s paradise and the perfect destination for sailing, boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Mitchell Park Marina is just a short walk from the estate and provides transient slips by the day or week.

Please call in advance for reservations to secure your spot.

Great vacation! The property is like no other. A beautiful house with its own beach and ability to rent dock space for your boat while staying there where you can see your boat while in house with beautiful views throughout. The location of the rental property is in a quiet location and a quick walk into town for groceries, restaurants, and/or shopping. The host is very responsive and a grew up in Greenport, therefore enjoyable to be able to get guidance as needed on locations in the area to visit. We will be making this an annual trip!!!

This was the perfect family getaway for our group! The house is spacious, the grounds are gorgeous with multiple hang out spaces, and Pat was a fantastic host. We had five little ones with us under 4 years old, and it was the perfect setup for us all to grill, play in the (warm!) water, hang out in the shade, chat around the fire, & retreat for naps as needed. Highly recommend this property & hope to come back in the future. Thank you for hosting us, Pat! :]

Upon arriving we felt we'd found a hidden gem. You drive into a lovely farmstead. With a main house and several outbuildings. The owner was kind enough to show us around the property in between other guests moving in or out . Each place on the property has a special charm reflecting the owner's family history or artist boatwright's sensibilities and skills. In this day and age many look to a kind of numb branded luxury. This is a completely different approach. Everything is nicely appointed, clean and well arranged. Yet it's more like showing up at your favorite rich aunt's house because everything is so warm and comforting and you immediately feel at home. The entrance to the main house has a thoughtfully laid out space to kick off sandy shoes and when you walk in with a bag of groceries and see neatly lined up shoes of three generations greeting you from your family it just feels so right. I've travelled throughout Europe, Scandinavia and 37 other countries. This is the place for vacation that feels most welcoming and like the home away from home anyone could easily yearn to return to. It seems as if it would be difficult to find a host with as much integrity, insight and thoughtfulness as Patrick. He's an artist, fine craftsman and steward of this remarkable gem of a place... And quite possibly from what we could gather North America's most knowledgeable expert on Viking sailing craft. He is also incredibly modest. The kind of guy you'd want for your favorite uncle.

We stayed at the main house during late October. While the stay was wonderful and the property beautiful for families and children, in informing the owner of a problem with the toilets, we were nearly accused of causing the problem. It was shocking. The owner failed to follow up on messages sent immediately following our stay in relation to an item left behind, and only in follow up messages to the owner did he reply with further accusations and semantics related to the toilets. We will take our business elsewhere in the future. It's unfortunate when you try to do a good thing by informing a business owner about an issue to help them ensure their future guests are comfortable, it comes back to bite! Otherwise, the house itself is lovely, perfect for multiply family stays.
