Stunning Lake Michgan Views & Sunsets. Walk To Waterfront, Restaurants & Shops

Stayed for 7 days and had a great time. Views are gorgeous. Only warning: master bedroom faces north so it gets sunrise and sunset. Beautiful but a sleep mask is helpful if you want to sleep in. The house is lovely, 2 porches to sit and enjoy the views, water is a 5 min walk away. We had a great visit to Petoskey.

This is a really nice property. Very clean and welcoming. It was nicely decorated and very comfortable. One suggestion would be to install shades or curtains in the master bedroom and living room side window for more privacy.

This is a beautiful house and the description is as advertised. The local is great and I would definitely stay here again if I didn’t need central air. When we arrived the main floor was 78 degrees. The upstairs was 80 degrees and only the master bedroom had a unit air conditioner hooked up (there was one in the second bedroom not connected to the outside). We got lucky that temperatures dropped while we were there but as a party of two women and a baby I was not comfortable leaving the windows/doors open all night. Summers in MI can be very hot and humid so we got lucky this time that the weather cooperated, but I couldn’t take that chance going forward, which is disappointing because I loved this property.

Our stay started out nice with a welcome gift (local wine, chips and chocolates). There was a temporary fridge setup as the main was out of order. The coffee maker was broken, which we found out in the morning when we went to use and Mike brought by a replacement later that afternoon. We did enjoy our time on the patio and the close walk to the beach. However, a few areas would benefit from some improvements, especially considering the price paid for our stay ($650 per night plus fees and an additional pet fee). One thing that caught me off guard was another individual living on the property. As there was no prior mention of this in the property description. Additionally, the absence of proper blinds in the rooms was a concern, and the sheer white curtains in the king room didn't provide the privacy and comfort we were hoping for, especially given the bedroom windows' exposure to the other residence and the street. There were also basic maintenance issues… The missing end cap on the toilet paper holder in the Jack and Jill bath was a bit inconvenient, and the shower curtain was visibly soiled and in need of replacement. Additionally, there were some cleanliness issues, particularly with visible mold in the 2 showers and an unclean stovetop. Given the price paid, I was surprised to find these basic cleanliness and maintenance issues. I brought these concerns to Mike and was offered nothing in return. Next time I take my parents on a getaway I’ll book a nice hotel.
