Chariandry Court

This was my fifth stay at Chariandary Court and, hopefully, won’t be my last. The apartment is a perfect base for exploring the Paphos & Limassol regions of Cyprus. We mostly eat out, but the place has everything you need if you prefer to fully self cater. Since our last stay, some updates to furnishings and decor have been made, enhancing the experience. Located just a few steps away from the lively Pissouri Square, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy; and supermarkets and Pissouri bay are just a short drive away. Arrangements are in place with a neighbouring hotel for the use of their pool (for a small fee). If you’re looking for 5-star luxury, it’s not for you. But if you’re looking for clean, comfortable, well equipped budget accommodation, it’s a perfect choice.

I liked the excellent, clear & polite communications of the hosts together with their thoughtful welcome pack provisions, the spaciousness of the apartment, its convenient location both for driving 9 minutes to Pissouri Beach (easy parking) but also to main roads to other locations in Cyprus. I found the kitchen was adequately equipped with cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, utensils, crockery and glasses to prepare meals. The air-conditioning was effective, though rather noisy in one of the two bedrooms. I made use of the washing machine which worked well on a quick 15min cycle. The small balcony (second floor) was pleasant for breakfast in the mornings with views over the landscape descending to the sea. The shower over bath arrangement worked ok, though the drainage was slow. The toilet flushed satisfactorily. Parking was straightforward in a public car park just a short walk down the road and there were spaces even on a busy Saturday night. The apartment is quite elderly but no less functional for that. The TV offers many channels, but I didn't investigate these much and it's not "smart". The free Wi-fi worked fine in the lounge, but only intermittently in the bedrooms.

The only thing I really did not get on with was the bed. The mattress was very soft, threatening to tip you out onto the floor if moving anywhere near the side. So good nights of sleep were few. If you favour early nights you should be aware that the "village" of Pissouri is a popular destination for entertainments so especially at the weekends there is a lot of loud music until quite late around midnight. However, that also means that there is no shortage of local bars, restaurants and other eateries close by.

Great location. Free drinks in the fridge and all the amenities you could ask for. Good communication from the owner too. Easy to find and easy to check in to. Would definitely stay again.

Parking could be an issue sometimes.
