Emplacement avec accès direct à la plage surveillée, avec accès aux WC publics sur la plage : idéal pour les longues balades en bord de mer. Camping proche des marchés, des animations organisées en soirée dans les villes environnantes, du phare de Chassiron et de la Cotinière. Le personnel du camping est à l'écoute, discret et sympa.

A bit tired needing some makeup

Low season (September) is great for dogs - almost nobody at the beach at the sunrise and on the nearby dune at the sunset. Ocean is bit colder than on the eastern coast but dogs are forbidden on most of other beaches. Mobilehome stays reasonably cool during the day so you can leave your dog inside when going to bird sanctuary or shopping. The receptionist has a bullterrier so we had no problem with our staffie. Take your or rent a bike - there are nice, marked tracks dedicated for bicycles and the island is flat (most of the bicyclists have 50+ years), you'll see more of the salt marsh than from a car. Great shopping (near the church) and seafood/fish (port) in st.Denis is 2km with daily market even in first half of September, take your or rent a grill/barbecue and buy some fish. Walk 4km north on the shore to the lighthouse, visit all the colorful oyster/fisherman huts in the salt marsh/ports and beach cabins. Taste the local Cognac and Pineau, local producers sell them at good price on the daily markets. Visit the Citadel in Chateau, watch the Boyard fortress from a distance and buy spicy salt in Petit village. The ocean is colder, shallow and windy, great for kiting and windsurfing, we've seen some paddleboards and surfs too.

Le calme et la situation du camping.

Le jaccuzzi et hammam hors service. Sanitaires des piscines en mauvais état et non nettoyés. Le snack, le dépôt de pain et le café fermés. Tout cela était indiqué comme existant dans la publicité. Le mobil-home était vétuste : rideaux troués, sol abîmé, terrasse trouée.
