The property was amazing, I like the atmosphere in the house. The traditional backyard is phenomenal, and staff is friendly. Got to meet new friends living in the same house, will come back for 2nd visit when I get a chance

If you’re looking for a peaceful stay in Kyoto, this is it. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, it felt like home from the moment I arrived. I booked the single room, and it was even nicer than I expected, with a window that lets the beautiful morning light pour into the room. The garden is absolutely beautiful and so tranquil. It’s the perfect place to journal, read, or simply sit and unwind. They also had great local recommendations; like a retro cafe Hisui and a book cafe called Kotoba no Haoto, and both were wonderful spots that I probably wouldn’t have found on my own. There was always a staff member on-site during working hours, and she was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Kyoto, and hopefully for even longer!

One of the most beautiful houses I‘ve ever been in. 140 years old, very traditional interior, a beautiful garden and veranda where you can have your breakfast, which is included. The hosts were very friendly and attentive, everything was welcoming.

Everything was fantastic, explained perfectly and was a very comfortable stay.
