Studios Maria

Out of all our trips to Thassos island, this was by far the best accomodation, well beyond our expectations. Our host greeted us with a warm smile and we felt immediately like at our second home. She made sure that the apartment was cleaned regularily and that we had everything we needed. Thank you for being such a great host! The apartment was VERY spacious for up to 3 people, comfortable, clean, bright. Everything was brand new and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was impeccably clean, with a huge shower with sliding glass door. The kitchenette had all the necessary utensils as well as an assortment of electrical appliances for making coffee, tea, hot sandwiches or even cooking. All windows had mosquito nets, and there was an air conditioner unit in each room - not always necessary, as the building keeps cool during the day if you roll down the window blinds. The windows were facing east, so it was very nice to get a warm and sunny wake up every morning (unless we rolled down the blinds and slept a bit longer). The large balcony door was facing north, towards the small gulf of Skala Marion, allowing the cool breeze and the music of the sea to roll in all night long. We enjoyed our coffee every morning on the shaded balcony while watching the blue sea and the view of the village. We had very good WiFi connectivity with no interruptions, and satellite TVs which we turned on just once out of curiosity (seriously, who goes to Greece to watch TV?!). There's a narrow one way street in front of the studio, meaning there is no reserved parking, but we could find a place to park our small car every day, in line with other tourists and residents on one side of the street. There's a grocery store about 100 meters from the studio, and at least 4 excellent restaurants with fresh fish another 50 meters further. 10 minutes of walking in the other direction there's another gulf with a wonderful sandy beach and shallow, clear water for kids.

Everything was excellent and perfect. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The owners of the house were sincere and warm. We loved them very much. If we come again to Thassos, we will stay here. Thank you.
