The view was lovely, water pressure of the shower good. Liked the microwave and fridge facilities. Partner loved the toastie machine! Left us extra towels when they noticed we’d put some out to dry.
No functioning AC and the fan didn’t work properly so the air was still and stifling. It was cooler outside than inside even with the fan on. Couldn’t sleep at all because if we left the window open we would be bitten mercilessly by bugs. No functioning net against to prevent the bugs coming in, only thing was a lace curtain for privacy more than bug prevention.
No breakfast provided which was a shock seeing as it’s a bed and breakfast.
Location - mixed. Would have been MUCH better with a car because there’s a 30 minute walk into town. Horrible at the end of the day and the bus to and from the town is sporadic at best and doesn’t run to time.
Unfortunately we had minimal contact with the owners and the only contact we did have was us requesting a lift and getting a response 40 minutes later. Nothing at checkout either.
Would I return? No. I’d stay in Varenna or Como instead. If you do stay here rent a car and have sufficient bug repellent!

Très bonne adresse à Mennagio, logement avec parking privé, très bien situé avec un chemin qui mène directement dans le cœur historique. La pizzeria juste à côté est excellente avec jolie vue.
Les hôtes sont réactifs et aux petits soins, même si ils ne parlent pas anglais nous avons réussi à nous comprendre ☺️ Les alentours sont calmes et nous avons accès à une terrasse avec une belle vue en hauteur sur Mennagio.
Bon à savoir : il y a une taxe a payer en espèces.
Il faisait assez chaud dans l'appartement mais l'hôte met à disposition un ventilateur si besoin.

Very comfortable and clean, an amazing view and a very welcoming host. A good pizzeria/ restaurant a two minute walk away as well.
Unfortunately no air conditioning, and quite a hike uphill from the lake!
