Suan Dok Gate Guesthouse

The Suan Dok Gate Guest House is a great place to stay. I arrived by a Rod Dang from Chiang Mai station. It is close to the West gate inside the old city. You can walk to anywhere in the old city within 30 minutes. It is about 5 minutes walk from one of the main Wat's (temples). The room was clean and comfortable with a good size bed. The ensuite was modern and clean. Although breakfast is not provided, there are coffee shops and restaurants just near and outside the Guest House. It is a good place as a meeting point if you want to do a day trip. The front staff (Deer and Om) are very welcoming, helpful and speak good English. Deer helped me to arrange a taxi to the airport for my next destination and even helped me to check-in. A great stay and thank you.

Lovely place to stay in a great location, staff were super friendly and helpful.

One of the hosts was very nice until we were a little late for check out. She became very unpleasant when no one had initially scheduled us for check-out time. Very disappointed with the change in behavior.
