Apartamentos San Lázaro

It was a straightforward two and a half hour drive down from Santander, where we arrived by boat from UK. We chose this place as it was located relatively close to the central line of the solar eclipse and it was good value for money for the family (4 adults, plus 2 dogs - although later found out that they normally only accept one dog, but they kindly accommodated us - please check in advance). We had an amazing stay in Ezcaray. Eva was a kind and attentive host - she met us on arrival and showed us around, plus sent us lots of useful local information. The apartment is located an easy (5 minute) walk to the centre of town, but in a tucked away position so it was quiet. We couldn't believe how lively the town was - all the bars and restaurants were busy, but nicely so - we arrived in festival week (I think the festival was for the eclipse, but we weren't 100% sure). Traditional Spanish environment and atmosphere, which we enjoyed - didn't meet one other Brit while there! The solar eclipse occurred in clear skies - the vision will last with us forever. We stayed 4 nights in total and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We plan to return.

Not quite enough comfortable seating in the lounge for 4 people in the evening. Another small sofa would have been perfect. Having said that, the kitchen chairs were fine.

La amabilidad de la propietaria. El apartamento en general. Se puede aparcar en las inmediaciones.

Apartamento muy completo, limpio y cómodo, con todo lo necesario para una estancia agradable. La zona es muy tranquila y silenciosa, perfecta para descansar. Destacar también la excelente atención de Eva, siempre amable y atenta. Muy recomendable.
