Jeju Myung House

The host was really great - waited for us upon our arrival, responded quickly to each of our questions and requests, and a great conversation man. The house is located in a wonderful, quiet area (reachable by car only) and has a splendid garden - a lot of trees and flowers and even a swing. The location is great for visiting Jeju's attractions, which are spread across the island - and almost all of them are reachable within around 1 hour drive (some less, some more). The apartment has two separate bedrooms, each one with its own bathroom (very convenient for a group of people), and the living room can be considered as an additional room since it has a bed, and an additional bathroom (total of 3 bathrooms). There are no closets - but this is typical for South Korea.

The apartment is reachable only by stairs (you can see them in the house picture) - less convenient for the 80 years grandmother who was with us, or for luggage handling. The road to the house is not lighted at night (around 1.5 km before the access road to the house, which is lighted) - but we got used to it after the first time. I would recommend to arrive before dark.

The host was so friendly and acommodating. The place was spacious, clean and had everything we needed, we were even able to get some washing done thanks to the host which was lovely. Getting around with a hire car is easy since youre centrally located, attractions were just a 30min to 1hr drive away. The place even has cooking facilities but we wanted to try all the local foods like the nearby black pork bbq! Highly recommend this for a lovely peaceful stay on jeju.

We had such a wonderful stay in Jeju! The house was huge, very comfortable, and perfect for our group. Each room had its own bathroom, which made everything so convenient and private. The house also had all the basic necessities we needed, and the kitchen was well-equipped with cooking tools and essentials, so preparing meals was easy too. The highlight of our stay was definitely the host, Mr. Min. He is already 80 years old but honestly looks so young and energetic! He was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had such a lovely chat with him, and he even gave us some fresh tangerines, which was such a sweet gesture. The location is excellent if you have a car. Just follow the address using Naver Map or KakaoMap, and you’ll arrive without any problem. Thank you so much, Mr. Min, for your kindness and hospitality. We had a truly great experience and would definitely book this place again if we ever come back to Jeju!
