Try Oporto - São Lázaro

Overall it's a very nice place. Location is great, the terrace is neat, no cold in the bathroom and no loud noises from you-know-what people.

For starters - there was no work opener. People come to Porto to drink wine and walk, so you must be able to open a bottle of wine without the need of improvised tools. Secondly - I understand it's business, but if the people want to check-in earlier, this is bad attitude to charge them additionally for this option. It should be free considering the check-in starts at 15:00 and check-out must be done by 11:00

Its proximity to all the major sites of the city. Clean, good wifi, in a cute neighborhood. Lots of choices for restaurants and bars

Location was great. The apartment is good value for money. The host was accomodating and helpful.

The cleanliness is not that great. There was an odd smell (I assume it was because the building is quite old). Also, the boiler or the fridge (I'm not sure) was quite loud and it was sometimes difficult to fall asleep.

The location is really great - you can walk to many of the city's attractions and there is a supermarket, lots of restaurants and cafés and the underground station nearby. The flat is well appointed, with a large bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. When I arrived, the flat was very clean.

On the very first night, I noticed a cockroach in the shower. I thought it was an isolated incident, but the next day I found three more. The host was quick to respond and sent someone to try to solve the problem, but unfortunately, I found another one the next day. In the latter case, I didn't even try to contact them because I had to leave the property. So I think the main problem is that the flat is on the ground floor and during rain season cockroach are coming in . Also, because it is on the ground floor and faces the street, near a crossroads, it can be very noisy.
