Poor value, poor policies and poor location. Nice beds.

Nice pool area and comfy beds

Hotel policy regarding early arrivals is terrible. With check in being 3pm, many travelers arrive early. We arrived at 10am and were told that our room was ready. Then they told us that we could have the room for a fee of 500 baht ($15) per hour! Consequently, we placed our luggage in a closet and walked down the street where the two of us had a three-hour massages for 600 baht total per hour instead of paying the ransom money to a hotel that cared nothing for its weary guests. We stayed three days and gave all of our business to other hotels and restaurants. Imagine spending $185/ night and being told you would have to pay another $75 for an early arrival. A terrible policy that many guests endured. It was a common sight to see guests complaining about this completely unnecessary extortion.

Apart from location.old hotel..reception looked like railway station..room was bit tired and old.washroom was full of water while showering..bad smell.

Breakfast was good and so was the location.Free chilled water in the reception.

My wife couldn't use the gym as the equipment she wanted to use was broken. Limited sunbeds around the pool.(that were in the sun) miserable staff, not the cleanest of poolside areas. Quite noisy room on the roadside rooms so better to pay for pool view rooms. General maintainance of hotel very poor.

Our stay was absolutely terrible from the very beginning. When we first arrived, the reception staff didn’t even bother to acknowledge us. They just sat together talking and completely ignored the fact that I was standing there waiting to check in. The lack of professionalism was unbelievable. We arrived late, dropped our bags, and left quickly. But when we came back, we were shocked. The room was disgusting. This was around 2 a.m., and the place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. There was hair everywhere — in every corner, on the floor, and even on the bed. The entire room was filthy: the floor was dirty, the chairs were dirty, everything felt neglected and unhygienic. It’s as if no one had ever cleaned it. On top of that, the bathroom curtain was stuck, the shower was broken, and there was even a sharp nail sticking out of the bed, which is completely unacceptable and dangerous. We had to put towels on the bed out of pure disgust, and we couldn’t sleep at all. The room was simply not livable. Around noon the next day, I went to the reception and showed them photos and videos of the mess. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff member simply said, “I’ll send someone to clean it.” I am NOT supposed to sleep in a disgusting room and then wait for them to “fix” it afterward. That is not how a hotel should operate. She went to talk to the manager, and they kept sending messages back and forth like it was a joke. Not a single person — not even the manager — bothered to come speak to us, apologize, or offer ANY form of customer service. I asked for another room, and they told me there were none available. They only showed me two rooms that were nothing like the villa with a private pool that I originally booked. And then they just left me sitting there with no solution, no apology, and absolutely no respect. If they cared even a little about their guests, someone would have at least apologized. But no — nothing.

Horrible, I rather go sleep in jingle next to monkeys . Very dirty place . Don’t get scammed by looking just at photos ,

Nothing! Absolutely terrible, horrible , dirty rooms and rude staffs with zero communication skills.

As soon we arrived for Check-in the staffs were unprofessional and tried to scam us with 2 single beds as king bed . We had to ask to change our room and we realized all the rooms were dirty after another. we got out of hotel straight away after 10 minutes of check-in to look for another hotel to stay , luckily we found T2 Ao Nang Hotel which was located at the front and was very clean so we moved into T2 hotel . Dirty rooms which had blood stains on bedsheets and pillows, staffs are rude. Breakfast had flies all over them . Very disgusting place to be and waste money

Disappointing Stay - Needs lots of updating

Breakfast was quite good by Thai standards so worth paying for particularly as the hotel is not near anything.

We stayed at Hula Hula Resort for three nights, and overall, it was a very disappointing experience. The biggest issue is that the hotel rooms are in dire need of renovation and repair. Our room was noticeably dirty upon arrival, and the bathroom was problematic: the shower drain was blocked, causing the room to flood regularly. We reported this to reception, but absolutely nothing was done during our entire stay, which reflects poorly on the maintenance and service. The location is also challenging. It’s outside of Ao Nang town, perched up a steep hill. The walk down to Ao Nang beach is a good 15 minutes, but the walk back up in the heat is exhausting. While the steep bank for the bungalows looks dramatic, it makes access tricky. Other facilities let the resort down, too. The main pool is unfortunately positioned and doesn't get any sun, making it quite chilly. The fitness room was completely unusable—it felt like a sauna as there was no air conditioning. Even the TV only offered Thai channels.

Good value for money

The hotel was very nice! The rooms are big and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant attached is very nice and we had a lovely meal in there on our first night. The staff in the restaurant were very nice and helpful. The pool was lovely!

The bathrooms could do with an upgrade. The shower kept over flowing which was difficult to manage. I had also arranged an airport transfer once we had arrived in Krabi and after waiting 30 mins I got through to someone in the hotel who claimed we had to wait another 20 mins for the transfer to arrive which wasn’t great.

Disorganised and disappointed based on my saty 5 years ago.... will not return again

Staff seemed to have no direction, needed more management. Rooms had a bad smell and when this was raised by ourselves nothing was done about the problem. The property was old and tired and needed updating. Breakfast was terrible. The pool bar was closed more than it was open and when ot was open the bar staff did not seem to know how to make the most simple drinks.... we were served cocktails with out-of-date coconut milk that tasted sour. Other guests were allowed to roam the halls all night being load and obnoxious with staff not doing anything ti stop them

I love the setting of the hotel ,the atmosphere ,swimming pool,bathtub,shuttle service,spacious room.

The staff at the breakfast area is not friendly.She doesn’t greet and put a very unfriendly face when we enter the breakfast area for all the 3 mornings we were there.The way she asked us the room number was in a very rude manner.Other staffs was okay.We have to keep calling the receptionist to get representative to set the tv each time we are back in the room.It is not set to connect automatically to their wifi and the tv setting also need to be adjusted each time.We were not able to watch anything after back to the room at night as they don't have their maintenance person around. This was annoying.

A beautifully serene and luxurious escape

The villa was beautifully spacious, with open, airy rooms that allowed natural light to pour in. The serene atmosphere made me feel completely at ease throughout my stay, and every moment there was a soothing escape from the bustle of everyday life. It was truly a rejuvenating and deeply relaxing experience.

The night shift staff, unfortunately, were unable to communicate in English, which made it challenging for me to arrange my transportation to the airport. What should have been a simple booking turned into a stressful and time-consuming process, leaving me feeling uneasy about my departure plans.

A great stay, great location, lovely hotel with an amazing pool.

we really liked how spacious and bright the rooms were, including the large bathroom too, and balcony also. The location was great, not too close to the busy bit, but still walkable. The pool area was also amazing. we found all staff members were very helpful and polite too.

We felt that during the evening, our hotel room floor was noisy, this might have just been during our stay but many guests on our floor were extremely loud until late evening (12-1am) and then again at 7am, we could hear all the shouting from the room, and even had to ask them to be quiet as we kept getting woken up. So possibly tightening the noise rules in late hours, or making the rooms more soundproof, as we could hear majority of what was going on outside the room, of course not an issue during the day, just a problem when trying to sleep. We felt the rooms were cleaned well, however they were cleaned very late in the day, 4pm our room was cleaned at when we left the room service sign out at 9am etc, which felt very late. We also weren’t given new towels once, which is not a major problem, but just feels more clean to get fresh towels everyday.

Disappointing

The reception and cleaning staff were nice. Not too far of a walk into the beach and the shuttle to krabi town was useful (although it runs only 4 times a day and you have to book it at least an hour in advance) .

The manager was rude and unhelpful, didn’t want to help us with anything really. They are very strict on the no early check in if you arrive early. The rooms (we stayed in pool access double room) are not sound proof and you can hear *everything* at all hours. We stayed 3 nights and the first two nights we were unable to get to sleep until 4/5am due to noise coming from other rooms, it was very annoying and frustrating for us. Then we were woke early as you can hear everyone at reception/coming into the hotel. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable which didn’t help the sleeping situation. We made complaints about the noise and nothing came from it. The shower in the bedroom isn’t great and soaks the floor around it.

The room had a bad odour to it. We kept having to ask for things for our room three or four times before it got done. They never took the rubbish when they said they cleaned the room. It's was a very loud hotel and I had difficulty sleeping. The breakfast area is unhygienic and needs to be in a closed area rather than having flies and wasps all over the food and drinks.

Brilliant stay in Thailand and at the Hula Hula Resort

I thought the location was really, short walk to the front and the bars and restaurants etc tho we liked that and really nice and quiet. Great restaurant over the road which was the Red Chilli. The villa with pool was lovely and the main pool really nice.

I thought our villa just needs a bit of TLC and redecorating. The main pool bar needs better food and bar snack selection. The restaurant attached to the hotel we didn’t use at all as the menu was poor and just didn’t tempt us.

It started from welcome drink they didn't even offer welcome drink after so exhaustive journey and after our asking they handed over the slip for collecting from their restaurant it was pathetic Room aesthetics was weird bed position was in uncomfortable location Washroom was not having napkin, dental kit or hand wash also they have policy of not washing towels to secure earth but the price that we paid this all should be included Breakfast was not having much to offer with less options for vegetarians also staff was not paying attention to which food is getting finished and they have to refill

Amazing peaceful stay

Our room was super spacious with a comfy bed, loads of space, and a leather couch that was perfect for relaxing after swimming. The pool was amazing — we swam every day — and there’s even a little bar by the pool. Food and drinks were reasonably priced for the area. Location was excellent too, close to the beach and shops. Breakfast was included and had plenty of options. The talking bird at reception was a fun touch, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They provided pool towels and there were lots of loungers around the pool. Bathroom was nice with a good shower. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Only slightly negative thing was that the bathroom did have a strange smell to it.

Nice hotel, lovely people, beautiful surrounding countryside and beaches.

The Hotel was very nice. Our room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. The pool area was shaded and clean, with a nice and safe children's area. The breakfast had a wide and varied choice. You had to be early though, as it wasn't heated / kept warm. The staff were excellent. Very friendly, helpful and ready to assist our every need. We couldn't fault them.

The hotel was situated up on the hillside above the town, so you needed transport to get around. The shuttle bus was 2 hourly, so not really that convenient.

The BEST place we stayed in when travelling Thailand. Very lovely accommodating staff which helped us with a dietary issue and went above and beyond. The room was lovely, extremely clean, felt extremely safe, wish we stayed longer!!
