Forest Cyniciam Homestay

Excellent stay !! Ideal to stay the day before Horton Plain, the 15min drive in early morning is very convenient. 5min away for the train station as well. They hosts are very welcoming and cute, they helped us to organise transport. Massive dinner and a lot of cups of tea (it’s always tea time). Very nice outdoor area where we could watch the moon (with a cup of tea) listening to the jungle sounds. Loved it !!

Beautiful homestay at a nice location, very friendly and warm helpful family, genuinely interested in us, very good homecooking because no restaurants nearby. We got cake because the daughter had her 18 birthday! Nice room. Arranged transport Conveniently located for Horton plains.

Bathroom would benefit from a makeover

- Friendly and warm hosts - Yummy food - Hosts helped to arrange transport - Comfortable bed - Convenient for nearby hikes (including Horton Plains)

- Lack of WiFi (yes, this is mentioned in the description but seems unnecessary)

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home. Muthu & her husband went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. The food was incredible, they assisted with all our travel arrangements, they made sure we were warm enough, and they made some great recommendations for our wanderings. Forest Cyniciam encapsulates the best of Sri Lanka- much warmth, nourishment, and laughter!
