A wonderful tropical paradise

A truly delightful hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel at home, all were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and competively priced, breakfast which was included in our room rate had lots of choice was served in our room at a time of our chosing. We only had to ring through to reception and staff promptly arrived to provide service. For example to mop the terrace after it had rained. The villa and the hotel itself is set in lush surroundings which are beautifully maintained. A short drive from the centre of Ubud the hotel was very quiet but provided a free shuttle service into town. Beds and rooms were very comfortable in this two bed villa.

This is the only two bed villa with private pool and when i worked it out we could have had for the same price 2 individual villas rather than sharing with my son and his partner although we wanted to share. There were only two outside comfy chairs whilst we brought two from inside the villa so not a huge problem but seating for 4 needs to be provided. The rooms were smaller than the one bed villas and the twin room (and i am nit picking here) was not quite as spaxious or nice as the double room. Overall with 4 sharing we think this villa could be priced cheaper than it was.

A luxurious paradise set in lush tropical gardens

After our son and his girlfriend left we moved to a one bed villa. This was spacious and luxurious extremely comfortable and stafg comtinued to provide exceptional service.

A very minor point the sliding doors to the bathroom kept banging a bit annoying at night otherwise a fabulous stay

Great resort, great location and superb staff

We stayed at Purana Boutique Resort with our family and had a very pleasant experience. The room was spacious and very clean. While the décor was a bit outdated, it didn’t take away from our comfort in any way. The hotel staff truly stood out, everyone was incredibly friendly (shout out to Yannick), and we had several pleasant conversations with them. It genuinely felt like the staff enjoyed working there, which created a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. The location of the resort is also excellent, with plenty of great coffee shops just a few minutes’ walk away. Overall, we fully recommend Purana Boutique Resort and would happily stay there again.

A comfortable, relaxing stay.

The room was spacious & comfortable. Breakfast was really good! Staff were so attentive & friendly. The location was good for me. Not too far from things, a convenience store nearby, very quiet.

The pool is outside 2 bedrooms with pool access. I felt uncomfortable to use the pool while people were sitting on their balcony, it felt like it was exclusively for those 2 rooms. If you want to use the pool better book the pool rooms.

The villa was excellent and the private pool was beautiful. Upon first entering the villa, it felt, sounded and even smelled like a spa! Having breakfast delivered to the room was also a great plus.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Ubud! The place is peaceful, clean, and perfectly located, close enough to everything while still feeling calm and relaxing. The room was comfortable, the surroundings were beautiful, and the atmosphere made it easy to disconnect and enjoy Ubud. A special thank you to Yannik for the warm welcome and all the help during my stay. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and always available whenever I needed anything. His hospitality truly made the experience even better.

Overall, it’s a truly exceptional place that we can wholeheartedly recommend.

We stayed at the Purana Boutique Resort for three nights, and it was simply fabulous. The staff are incredibly attentive — they always greet you warmly and start chatting with you the moment you arrive. They pay attention to so many small details that truly make a difference. The breakfast is absolutely delicious. You can choose from a variety of options, which you sometimes pre-order the day before, and it’s delivered at your preferred time — right to your door, essentially in front of the pool. You can enjoy your meal outside in a beautiful atmosphere. We had a double room with a shared pool for five parties. However, we had the pool mostly to ourselves, perhaps because it was the low season. But we can’t emphasize enough how wonderful it all was. The resort offers a free shuttle to the village, but it’s also easy to reach by Grab. You can even join complimentary yoga sessions. The entire property is truly stunning. You may occasionally find small insects in the shower — something to be expected in this kind of environment — but it’s nothing serious. Overall, we can only highly recommend this place.

Perfect!

The staff are what make Purana so special. The facilities are excellent as well - comfy bed, nice bathroom, yummy food at their in house restaurant. But the staff really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. Amazing to have a free shuttle to the centre every two hours each day and they pick you up as well. The drivers were all so friendly and happy to share their local knowledge and tips. If I'm back in Ubud, I would stay at Purana again.

Outstanding experience and wonderful staff.

Staff were outstanding. They were so kind, helpful and welcoming. They helped book an ATV/rafting trip. Room and swimming pool were beautiful. They organised it for our honeymoon with lovely decorations. We ate in the restaurant every night and it was top class. The breakfast and Indonesian option were amazing. Warm people, specially the front desk staffs Augustawan and Peadpta

Outdoor seating area has a ceiling fan, makes you more comfortable in the heat and pit the mosquitoes away. The bathroom is quite new with nice water pressure, two sinks where you don’t need to wait, and the bathtub is so nice.

Pool is a little small and probably the design room on the second floor, but that makes the villa bigger space so wouldn’t complain

Peaceful relax close to Ubud city center

The staff was super friendly and took very good care of the guests. They set the bar so high that none of the other hotels in Bali we stayed at were as good. All meals were delicious and breakfasts were even included in the hotel fare :) You could even order meals to your room and eat at the balcony. We liked the peace and greenery of the surroundings.

Lack of common area to relax (outside of the room) - there is some room next to the reception but it is directly facing the street. There is also a common swimming pool but it has rather little space to lay down and isn’t cosy. Probably booking option other accommodation option at Purana like the entire villa (we had a Deluxe Room) would solve this issue.

Amazing hidden gem

This place is a home from home. Lovely jungle location away from busy Ubud, but close enough to see everything. Everything is clean and the staff are wonderful, so friendly. Less bugs than we expected. Yummy breakfast with Western options and a varied restaurant menu when you don't feel like venturing out for dinner.

Perfect stay in a quiet oasis

Purana is a calm oasis just a little bit away from the bustle of Ubud’s centre. Everything was perfect. The breakfast was amazing and the bed was comfortable! The staff are also super friendly and very helpful. The free shuttle into the city and back is also really handy! I can’t fault Purana!
