North Side Apartment 1

The town of Mġarr is small and is still quite authentic The apartment is located in a quiet Maltese neighbourhood. Supermarkets and some very good and not expensive restaurants are only a 5-minute walk away. The nearest beach is just a 5-minute drive away. The apartment is very well equipped, having everything you need in the kitchen, plenty of towels, a washing machine, drying racks, and everything else you might need. We felt very quickly at home. Also a friendly neighbour brought us half of a watermelon, which was very nice of him. Personally, we also liked the coin-operated air conditioning system. It take care of your energy consumption, good for the environment, and you only pay for what you actually use instead of a fixed higher amount in the rental price. During our stay, daytime temperatures were around 30°C. We only set the air conditioning in the morning and in the evening— not during our absence in the day, and not at night. It costed us only about €2 per day.

The views from the apartment are quite basic. At the front, you overlook the neighborhood with some overhead power lines close to the window, while at the back, you look out onto other typical Maltese apartment buildings.

Leanne was an excellent host, responsive, accommodating, helpful and kind. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything one needed when holidaying. I particularly appreciated the tupperware for storing leftovers and for picnics and the beach umbrella. Also, for the first time ever in my life of self catering, the kitchen knives were actually sharp enough to cut food! A pleasant and welcome surprise! Great air con AND fans. Beds were comfortable as were the pillows. Washing up liquid and cleaning cloths were provided and some herbs, salt, tea , Balsamic vinegar etc which is not always the case. Again, very much appreciated if one is on holiday just for a few days. Toaster, microwave and coffee machine, as well as an oven and hobs and good size fridge and freezer. Parking was sometimes a bit tricky but there was usually somewhere fairly close by to be found. The apartment is on the first floor and there were some steps to the front door of the building but once inside, there was a lift if you needed it. It is in a residential area and was pretty peaceful with a view from the back small balcony, between the other buildings, of the countryside. It's just a short uphill walk to the main street where you can find a supermarket and restaurants. I enjoyed my stay very much. Thank you Leanne.

Appartement spacieux, confortable et très propre. Bonne communication avec l’hôte. Très bien je recommande.

Dommage que la climatisation soit payante

une douche serait plus. La baignoire est moins pratique pour des personnes agées
