Ta Eng Guesthouse

Really great owner who was super friendly and happy to help with everything from scooter hire to booking buses. Room was great value and nice and cool even without AC. Good location too being walked distance from the main town.

Amazing service, the owner is really kind and can help you with whatever you need. Motorcycles and bikes can be rented directly from the property. The place is also quiet and within walking distance from the city center :)

Extremely friendly owner, he helped us with everything, was open to questions anytime and spoke good English.

The staff were nice and the food is a bit more expensive than town but nicely presented. The room was clean and spacious.

Despite being very far from the center of town I came to Yellow Star because of the swimming pool The pool ladder is dangerous as it is not fixed on top (the bolts having become detached ) or below (it doesn't even reach more than half way into the pool). I almost had an accident trying to get out of the pool but luckily a member of staff was nearby and held the ladder while I got out. A business that cares about their customers will make sure they are safe as other hotels with pools do. I later asked another member of staff to find me another longer ladder so I could use the pool but all he would do was repeatedly gaslight me suggesting I swim in the small paddling pool. I could not use the pool again after what happened and hope this is fixed before anyone gets hurt (again?).
