My fiancé and I eloped and had our wedding at the Heavens. We stayed for 5 days and didn’t want to leave. The property is absolutely breathtaking. I can’t wait to get our photos back! The cabins are beautiful and very well maintained. We cooked every meal and they had everything in the kitchen we needed. The cabins were clean and well stocked with plenty of towels and blankets. We built fires at night in the fire pit. My fiancé has always wanted to take me to Max Patch and it just so happened to be very close. Probably the most amazing view I’ve ever seen hiking. Highly recommend!!

This location was perfect for the hiking trips we had planned. The property was well laid out for our needs and provided us to wind down to its amazing view after long days in trail. Accessing the property from the road was easy, and driving the "Rattler" to get to the house was an experience in its own right. The lock boxes were straight forward and the included carabiner on the key was great for securing the key to my person while hiking. The house's location was exactly what he wanted. It's remote enough for complete privacy, yet, a local store for essentials is minutes away. And if you're looking for a larger area for groceries/restaurants, Lake Junaluska isn't far. We had an amazing trip and hope to return to this property in the future as we continue our exploration of the AT and the surrounding area on the NC mountains. It is a slice of heaven on earth.

We were looking for a place to have our wedding with the BEST view and came across The Heavens. This place was unbelievable. The cabin itself is updated & beautiful. We rented the sky cabin to have a private room. We used the area directly around the cabin to host 65 people for a ceremony and dinner. The upper part of the big field we used for games and to take pictures. Everyone was stunned by the view and natural beauty. The parking is limited, so we used a shuttle to bring people up the mountain. Our guests stayed in bnb rentals in the area. Stephanie was quick to respond, and a very gracious host. She was accommodating to our larger group, and our guests were respectful to treat The Heavens as a home. We will definitely be visiting again for our anniversary! Had the opportunity to stay at this property for two nights in March 2023 for an elopement. The views are absolutely stunning and the cabin itself is perfect and cozy. Do yourself a favor and book it now! The cabin is an awesome retreat, far enough from everything that you don’t feel bad for just staying in, but close enough to outdoor activities to do something physical. We brought all the food we needed with us and stopped for firewood at Ferguson’s on the way to the cabin, so we just stayed in and enjoyed the snow flurries. The kitchen offers everything you need to prepare an incredible meal. There is a Keurig for your coffee needs. This is a perfect spot for groups that are comfortable with each other, unless you book the second private cabin attached to the main structure. The bedrooms upstairs are loft style with incredibly comfortable beds, but the 2 bathrooms offer plenty of privacy.

We stayed at this property and held our small elopement on the property. The views were absolutely stunning. It’s about 45 minutes from Asheville, and about 30-40 minutes from downtown Hot Springs. It’s also close to Max Patch hiking trail, about a 35 minute drive. The house was very clean and well kept. The internet could be a little slow at times, which is expected being out in the mountains. The hosts provided plenty of towels, toilet paper, and had plenty of plates/cookware. The hosts had a Keurig, so I would recommend bringing your own K-cups if you’re caffeine addicts like we are, because we only saw decaf k-cups there. Also make sure to bring your own shampoo/body wash, etc. I would definitely recommend staying here; we were extremely pleased with our stay.

We were so amazed at the beauty of not only the cabin but also the view. My only problem is we traveled with our two year old who still takes a nap and the door to the bedroom would not close causing us to have to basically barricade it for fear he may wake suddenly and try to go down the stairs by himself. Otherwise, the cabin was perfect. We are already discussing when we can return!

This place was well worth it. The views, the accommodating host was so friendly and great to work with. We would stay here again and again. Definitely more than worth the price. It had everything we needed. It is waaay up in the mountains but not hard to find. Super cozy both the day we got there playing outside in 70 degrees as well as the day we left with several inches of snow. Super clean and was just an awesome trip with my family.

What goes best with autumn and the changing colors of the trees??? A gorgeous mountain cabin with million dollar views. Upon pulling up, you will be mesmerized by this gorgeous timber frame cabin, and then as you walk through the breezeway you see it. An amazing view that pictures won’t do justice. The cabin is rustic and has a warm feel. The only issue were two things…. The pillow case had blood on it, and the extra space that we rented had such a strong odor of mothballs it was almost unbearable. We used the extra space as a bedroom. The odor made virtually impossible to sleep. The pillow case was a small issue that can just be fixed with new cases and looking at the laundry. We would strongly recommend the odor in the extra space be resolved to make the comfort of guest a priority. Otherwise we would highly recommend this wonderful and beautiful place.

This place was splendid with Spectacular View from the cabin. Very aesthetically decorated by the owner and have positive vibes as you enter. Outside the cabin so many things to engage with. We did BBQ , Kids played, enjoyed with fire pit and spent an awesome evening overlooking the mountains. View is so mesmerising that it reminds a painting we use to draw in our childhood with multiple cascading mountains , open garden with flowers, blue sky with beautiful houses. Also just sitting on any window of the cabin and sipping your fav drink is like recharging yourself leaving all hustle bustle. Had a lovely family time.

We had a great weekend here celebrating our friend who is a Bride to be! The pictures on VRBO do not do the cabin justice, it was so much better then we thought and the view is THE best part! It was about an hour to get to Asheville but it was worth it to stay here! Hope to come back for family trips!

This home is beautifully situated on an expansive perch in the Western NC hills. Despite being near other residences, the views off the breezeway and surrounding lawn are uninterrupted by any houses, vehicles, towers, etc. Close enough Asheville and surrounding areas to shop for groceries, go on excursion tours, and park at hiking trailheads. Because there is no dishwasher, the cleanliness of the kitchen wares depends on how well the previous guests cleaned the dishes -- this didn't work out in our favor unfortunately but otherwise the house was great. Would be grateful to stay again.

The experience was great! The check in process was easy - the only hiccup was that we weren’t given the code to the additional cabin until we asked for it when we got there. During our stay, we found that the accommodations were what we expected. We were all comfortable! Overall, truly enjoyed our stay. We will be back!
