Beautiful views from balcony, room well equipped, quiet and clean

Location is stated as 90m from beach but in reality it is 1.5km walk down a very steep hill

La posizione e' splendida e la vista dal secondo piano e' fantastica (alloggiavano all'appartamento n.8 Maia); i Gestori/Proprietari sono molto gentili e premurosi. La pulizia e' perfetta. Torneremo sicuramente e chiederemo di affittare l'appartamento un po' piu' grande con uso cucina e terrazzo piu' spazioso che purtroppo al momento della nostra prenotazione non era gia' piu' disponibile. Molto bella anche l'esperienza all'osservatorio. Bravo Stergos e molto ospitale Melina (bellissimi i tuoi gattini).

Nyugodt környezet, tisztaság, modern és tágas apartmanok. Csodálatos panoráma. A személyzet rendkívül barátságos és segítőkész. Az obszervatórium programja esténként kellemes kikapcsolódást jelenthet.

Picit nehezen megközelíthető, csak autóval ajánlom.

It was a great stay and experience. The owners are very helpful and pleasant. The check-in is easy and clear. It is a lonely apartment studio on the rock over the sea on the edge of the town around 1.8 km from the busy Faliraki centre. It was very clean, with a lot of free space, kitchen, good beds, working AC and a great view from the balcony. I especially appreciate great WiFi signal and WiFi router in every room. There are nice beaches nearby, and the Anthony Quinn Bay is 15-20 minutes walk away. But you must be quite fit because you will need to go uphill/downhill. There are bus stops very close to the apartment with a bus going directly to the town of Rhodes (Mantomata – Rhodes bus line, but they don't always follow the schedule precisely). The kitchen had tea, coffee, sugar and all the necessary equipment. The area has a lot of cats, I see it a a great advantage too.

I use this slot not for criticism, but just as a warning for other customers. These couple of things were not a problem for me and I still gladly give 10/10. The last ~200 m of the road to the studio are quite uphill, I'd say up to 30%. It you rent a car or another vehicle for the whole stay, you probably don't mind that. If not or you are going to walk sometimes and don't drive, just keep it in mind. It can be an issue for older or unfit people. I knew about that, I examined the Google maps Street view in advance (and I recommend you to do so to evaluate if it is OK for you). I'm fit and do a lot of sports, so that was not a problem for me. I enjoyed 2 km walks every night from the Faliraki centre to the apartment. Btw, the taxi from the Faliraki centre to the apartment costs 11 Euros and from the Rhodes Old Town around 30 Euros. Another warning is you should still have ear plugs with you. The area is really quiet and distant, but once in a week a nearby villa had a party all night and that was so loud probably a kilometre around. So, this is not the fault of the Astronomy studios, but luckily, I always have ear plugs for this case and that helped. Maybe the last really minor wish would be to have some salt and maybe oil in the kitchen for cooking, since we had sugar, milk, tea, coffee, but maybe I just did not find them.
