Villa Ismini

Helen was an amazing host, house is decorated very elegant and cozy, each room has an AC, 4 bathrooms which made everything easier, the back and front gardens were nice and relaxing, the top room has a terrace looking towards the sea and relaxing at the sun beds in sunset was a reason for us to go back home. There's a sandy beach 5 minutes walk away, Helen provided us umbrellas and sand sheets which prevented us to pay for sun beds on the beach. The bus station is just front of the house and reaching to Chania Old City Center is 30 min by bus, 10 min. by taxi. Renting Villa Ismini was a great choice for us, where everybody can have their own space, beach and city was very close yet we were isolated and chill. When we arrived Helen was there to explain everything and she had a set table for us with fresh fruits and food , which made us almost cry from happinnes, felt like home right away. And she was so kind to send us our sweater that we forgot when we checked out. It's a special place, where you feel home and we'd definitely come back for our next trip to Crete. We wish for Helen to meet as nice guests as she is. This place deserves respect and admiration.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The place was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. What made our trip truly special was the warm hospitality – we felt very welcome and at home from the very first moment. We would definitely love to come back and can highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Greece.

To be honest, i am really surprised that none of the comments posted online for this villa fail to mention the following: 1. You have no privacy! It is a semi-detached house connected with 2 other houses and (in total) 3 basements. So if you are a group who like your privacy, know that there is a shared garage gate, shared garden just marked to ensure you know where your boundaries are (see point 3 below), shared veranda - with a glass divider, and a shared back veranda and yard. 2. Villa is not on the beach It might be 80m away from the sea but it is nowhere mentioned that you need to cross a busy road and an old man's junkyard to reach the sea. The photos with sea view are taken from the top floor attic room. 3. Garden is only for walking You cannot sit in and enjoy the beautiful garden you see in the photos as it is a thin strip of land which mostly serves as a pathway from the parking spot to the house door. The rest of the garden is for the other 2 houses 4. Better be out by 11 am The owner (who by the way lives in the basement below) she came into the house at 11:05 and started tidying up and checking around if we forgot anything to make sure that we no longer delay our departure. Considering that we had 3 kids with us, this was of course done in order to assist. Of course! To cut a long story short, it wasn't the comfortable villa on the beach with a beautiful garden for the kids to play in that we expected to find as we were mislead by the photos and the description available online. So just wanted to warn the other like-minded people that this is what they will be booking.
