very beautiful, everything you need, breakfast was amazing and Antonio and Maria took great care of us
i loved everything, there were no issues, but what some people might find as a problem was that there was no AC (there was a ventilator) and it was right on the main street (historical center) and so it was a little louder during late hours (but! you were living in a great location, everything was close and i honestly enjoyed hearing people having fun), so for us personally it wasnt a problem

Al vecchio castello is a really charming property, decorated to perfection to reflect the perfect Italian summer style. The location is exceptional, being close to everything that you’d need in Tropea. The hosts are devine, charming people, very helpful and very very nice.
The only downside was the fact that it lacks air conditioning- it does say it it the proprety description, but still- until you get to the Italian hell of a summer, you don’t realize how much this is needed. We were there end of June, and although there were fans in the rooms, there weren’t any in the bathrooms and still the heat was unbearable, especially at night… also slight problems with the wifi, but other than that great value for money.

Absolutely perfect location, short walk to the beach and surrounded by amazing cafes and restaurants. Lovely host Antonio, very friendly and the room was very comfortable. Perfect for solo travel

Localisation is top! And the view from the window is cool.
Lack of AC. It is impossible to manage summer time there. Breakfast is really poor. Deep frozen croissant and old bread, 1 slice of meat and 1 slice of cheese. This is pathetic.
