The owners of the establishment were extremely kind. They provided helpful knowledge of the area. They also gave us some breakfast items in the morning. The house is beautiful, clean, and a quintessential experience. The owners truly went above and beyond.

Sleeping in a Hanok is an experience. You feel like someone has opened his house to you. The Hanok was conveniently located near a bus stop and across the GyeongJu National Museum. The owner was really eager to explain the key sites to visit. He brought breakfast and coffee the next morning.
You need to know that there might be other guests, which may feel like your sharing the home with other people you don’t know.

The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was decent and the rooms were comfy. The location isn't far from the main town and is within walking distance of Donggung Palace, Wolji Pond, and Gyeongju National Museum.

Very close to Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond. Walking distance from other main sights, and a bus stop nearby for transportation further out. Hanok looked amazing, and seemed very authentic. Rooftop to look at the view of the surrounding area and fields. Given a 'complimentary' breakfast in the morning.
We were rushed out of the Hanok every morning. He would shout through the door at 7.45am breakfast was ready. The 'complimentary' breakfast was a way to wake up all the guests and kick them out for the day. When trying to eat said breakfast, he attempted multiple times to take the tray away from under us. When trying to get ready he would appear at the door, telling you to 'hurry, hurry' and not give you any privacy. On the first full day we had, he rushed us out so quickly, we forgot to pack a lot of things, and I forgot to brush my teeth! The host gave us an 'induction/tour' when we arrived, which took over an hour. This massively impacted our plans, as we arrived later than expected and really wanted to dump our bags and head out straight away. But instead we had to sit and listen to him repeat the same rules multiple times, and also tell us what our itinerary should be, while also stating that 'we arrived late, so have no time'. The balcony outside has a lovely view, but I was worried I was going to fall through the bench. All the wood is rotten and is not safe at all. The facilities are clean, but minimal. There is no hook to hang your towel. Very little counter space in the bathroom to put your toiletries. You have to hold the shower, instead of it being fixed to the wall. No cooking facilities (microwave, kettle etc). Not allowed to use the storage provided in the room, all the drawers are taped up. Security is also a major problem here. The main door to enter the Hanok opens by just pushing it (no lock!). No lock on the sliding door to guest rooms and no lock for the bedrooms either. This is a massive problem, especially as the host insists on leaving to bedroom doors wide open for 'circulation'. All our stuff was on display to other guests. This was the most expensive accomodation we stayed in during our 2 week holiday travelling around Korea and Japan.
