Staff was very helpful and friendly - them not being the owner of the property I can't really blame them for missing credit card payment machines.
We had quite a discussion with staff about the price. In our reservation it said 64 USD for one night - in the reservation system from the hotel it showed a higher price.
During the discussion we found out, that it was exactly 21 percent more - basically with added VAT.
Tourists in Argentina paying with foreign credit card and showing a foreign passport are excluded from paying VAT, so this riddle was solved.
BUT the hotel didn't offer a credit card payment.... So basically them not having a credit card payment scheme made the roms 21 percent more expensive for us.
At the end they agreed to charge the price without VAT - but didn't give us a receipt.
So that leaves me wondering if its a way to rip off tourists or the ministry of finance non the less...
$$$$
