Comfortable and nice staff but noisy house

The property is well situated in the city center of Chateaulin. Easy parking on the street during our stay. Owner responsive and good breakfast. System of code to enter and get the keys.

The house is noisy. No real isolation between the rooms. We woke up at midnight because of a kid crying you can hear people move and talk. Smell of humidity in the bedroom.

Loan the host was absolutely wonderful, he was so helpful and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Our room (1) was huge with extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was more than adequate. Also it was lovely that you had access to the breakfast room 24/7 to make tea/coffee.

Only issue would be no allocated car parking, can be a little difficult finding a parking place close to the hotel.

Welcome & friendliness of staff. Fact we could use the facilities in the breakfast room at other times. Needs catered for by Loan, nothing too much trouble Great central location near walks & eateries. Secure place for our bicycles. Very large room

Renovation work going on in the building with materials in the corridor. One day the workmen had to access our room to do some work. This left mess in hall & stairs. Day we left breakfast items were not brought at the given time. We had to contact Loan to find out. He quickly organised delivery fom the nearby bakery, just in time before we needed to leave.

easy, cosy , quiet, the perfect gig for a restful break.

i missed the breakie since i was working and did not see the time . no dramas, i am sure it would have been perfect, i would recommand the light house to anyone looking for a short comfy stay in Chateaulin, or visiting parents at the clinic just 100 meters away.

Everything happened online or through text messages on the phone, and it worked very well, excellent informations, fast precise and the rest of it, depending on who is staying, from a customer side , sometimes it is appreciated to see and talk to someone for real. i had a super nice stay at this place , but could not say thank you or give a genuine human smile, emojis are fun but it doesn t replace someone smiling to you.

Lovely host, perfect location, great value.

A very amiable host who kept communication right from booking. Perfect location within easy walk of all amenities. A very large and comfortable room. Plenty of choice for breakfast. No issue at all with noise - in fact, I think that being in the centre of a town, the hosts have been very savvy with the double glazing plus the roller shutters in order to eliminate that potential problem.

Personally we would have prefered to have tea and coffee making facilities in our room rather than in the (delightfully decorated btw!) communal dining room.

L'accueil de Loan est absolument parfait. Ce qu'il a réussi à faire de cette maison située en plein centre ville est admirable. La décoration est très soignée, le ménage plus que méticuleux et le petit déjeuner démontre toute la générosité du propriétaire des lieux.

De n'avoir pu y rester qu'une seule nuit ! Expérience à renouveler !

L'établissement est super pour passer une ou plusieurs nuits. J'ai beaucoup aimé l'environnement autour, notamment la proximité avec le cours d'eau de Châteaulin. De plus, le propriétaire des lieux est très sympathique et à l'écoute.

Très décevant

Le gite était en travaux, je n'ai été prévenu que le jour J et une fois l'encaissement fait (pas de possibilité de remboursement). Je suis arrivée dans un gite où il faisait nuit noire, personne pour m'accueillir alors qu'il était 19h30. Je n'avais pas de chauffage. J'ai du prendre mon petit déjeuner (très réduit) dans ma chambre car la salle de petit déjeuner était aussi en travaux. la tv ne fonctionnait pas. Bref, très déçue et zéro geste commercial hormis une chambre plus grande mais froide.

La salle de bains qui n’était pas dans la chambre «mais à côté d’une autre chambre et qui devrait être rénovée ! Le petit déjeuner simple mais avec du vrai pain et des vraies viennoiseries A proximité des restaurants même si la plupart était fermé pour congés en période estivale !

Se si fa attenzione, non ci sono sorprese

Ambientazione curata ed accogliente. Pulito, ma in alcune parti non ancora completata (carton gesso a vista). Sala colazione accogliente e famigliare. Colazione secondo standard ad eccezione del caffè che, grazie alla macchinetta espresso ed alle relative cialde, fa la differenza per un italiano.

In fase di prenotazione non risulta immediatamente chiaro che il bagno privato non sia in camera. Inoltre sarebbe utile sapere il piano a cui è collocata la camera che si sta prenotando. Manca un punto d'appoggio per i bagagli. Chi viaggia "leggero" non ha problemi, ma chi si muove per 15/20 giorni si deve arrangiare.
