O Ilios House

The village of Pitsidia is a lovely place on Crete only 2 km away from the beach. People are lovely, loads of taverns for such a small place. A few small shops where you can buy almost everything you need. The house is a lovely stone two storage house best suited for 4, has two verandas where you can sunbathe, read and hang out your laundry. Kitchen well equipped, lounge spacious. A very nice addition was a bed linen change in the middle of the stay.

A few things though were not that good. Firstly, both bathrooms walls where not fitting the ceiling, so there is no privacy at all and you can hear everything. Shower arrangement on the first floor - ridiculous- there is no chance having a shower and not to have all the room in water. Secondly, the fridge is far too small for 4 people and the fridge box really doesn’t freeze anything only cools things a bit better then the fridge itself. Thirdly - cockroaches - unfortunately, large ones. And the last bit - the oven of the cooker was not working (lights on, ventilation on but the temperature not moving anywhere.
