Exceptional

We came to Basanija for 2 weeks. First thing that caught our eye was the stone house on the photos which is even more beautiful in reality. We had an apartment downstairs and even though it's close to the street it is very quiet. The apartment was made very thoughtfully - it had sharp nives and even a blender! Outside were 2 electric grills which you can use whenever you want. The terrace is all covered in plants like grapes and kiwi and gave great shadow and coolness in very hot days (yes Basanija has always great weather). Next to the house is a cafe with very good coffee and ice cream. 3 minutes from the house there is a bakery and on the way to the beach there is a market. The beach was beautiful, no sand but it really doesn't bother at all and there is a beach bar Levante with great service and drinks. For olive oil I recommend to go to Oma Jola's which is 15 minutes walk from the apartment. It's olive Grove run by Polish-Croatian family. The hosts are an amazing people who made our holidays even more special. They are very nice and caring couple who make sure that you have everything you need and even extra and at the same time making sure that you have your personal space. I recommend this place for everyone who wants to fully relax - Basanija itself is a very quiet village it is also close to Italy and Slovenia so its a great tourist base.

E' stato un soggiorno più che piacevole. I proprietari si sono dimostrati da subito molto gentili e accoglienti. L'alloggio è dotato di tutto il necessario e la pulizia dell'appartamento impeccabile. Consigliatissimo!!

Schöner Aufenthalt, aber leider überteuert

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit schattigem Hof, tolle Lage direkt im Ort. Parken an der Straße war unkompliziert. Die Gastgeber sind - wie hier schon mehrfach zu lesen ist - wirklich außergewöhnlich nett und zuvorkommend. Sie haben ein kleines Paradies geschaffen und halten es mit viel Detailliebe auch instand.

Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt leider gar nicht. Denn: Bei der Buchung über booking.com ist noch eine lokale Agentur zwischengeschaltet, wodurch die Kosten leider sehr in die Höhe getrieben werden - wir haben fast das Doppelte von dem bezahlt, was sonst bei einer Direktbuchung bei den Inhabern fällig werden würde. (Stellt man natürlich erst bei Ankunft fest, wenn man dort die Preisliste sieht.) Dadurch ist nicht nur der Aufenthalt selbst ziemlich teuer, sondern es wird auch die Erwartungshaltung, die man angesichts des aufgerufenen Preises hat, klarerweise nicht erfüllt. Das ist für Gastgeber und Gäste gleichermaßen unerfreulich; wer gewinnt, ist einfach die Agentur, die sich ihre zahllosen "Info-E-Mails" auf diese Weise gut bezahlen lässt. Das Apartment 2 ist solide und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Bett mit 1,40m etwas schmal für zwei Erwachsene. Teilweise Straßenlärm hörbar, und sobald die oberen Apartments auch belegt sind, müssen alle anderen Gäste an der Terrasse, die zu Apt. 2 gehört, vorbei.
